From 3-6 October 2023, Australia hosted the World Prayer Assembly in Perth, with the theme “Wave of Glory”. One of the goals of this Prayer Assembly was to connect Oceania with the rest of the world in united prayer and worship and to form a prayer council.

A delegation from Fiji and the Solomon Islands came, and there were several South Pacific Island Nations represented. God gave a vision to have a Prayer Assembly in Fiji.

A team has formed, and there was a consensus that the timing and place of this Prayer Assembly would be on 17-20 October 2024.

Fiji is at a crossroads. The nation is facing many challenges with the impact of drugs, porn, and social media addiction, along with an increase in crime. Fiji is also a gateway nation, a springboard for missions.

God is Calling Us to Gather Together to Reunite, Re-Ignite and Revive Oceania

God is inviting the nations to come together. God’s transforming love is falling upon all the communities of Fiji and the South Pacific Islands.

The Pacific Prayer Assembly is seeing generations come together and participate. On 16 October, the youth will gather in Albert Park, Suva, to unite in prayer and cry out to God with a team from Generation Fire. Then, on 17 October, the youth of the Pacific will march from Albert Park to Vodafone Arena, where they will meet with the Prime Minister of Fiji. This will be followed by the Opening Session, commencing in the evening of Thursday, 17 October.

On Friday and Saturday, keynote sessions will take place in the mornings, breakout sessions in the afternoons, and a Glory Revival Awakening Crusade in the evenings with a team of international evangelists. The closing night will be Sunday, October 20.

Prayer and Missions Coming Together in Lead-up to the Pacific Prayer Assembly

There is an increased alignment, a marriage if you will, between prayer and evangelisation globally. The Pacific Prayer Assembly is a manifestation of this marriage being implemented practically in Fiji. We are expecting a harvest into the Kingdom and transformation in the region.

From 1 to 10 September, a team will travel to Fiji to launch 40 Days of Love, mobilising and saturating Fiji with Prayer everywhere, Evangelism everywhere, Making Disciples everywhere.

This will be followed by Crusades from 11 to 13 October. Crusades will take place in multiple locations with an international team of evangelists, including Alejandro Arias from Costa Rica and Jacqui Ford from Australia.

Prayer Furnaces will be held in three different locations: on 14 October at AOG Vitogo; on 15 October in main town centres in the west; converging in Suva on 16 October, where there will be the Youth Fest 24 from 5 pm onwards at Every Home for Christ Church Hall Kinoya, led by the Generation Fire Team.

We are excited to have Rick Ridings from Succat Hallel 24/7 prayer house (Jerusalem, Israel) joining us on the Opening Night on 17 October, alongside the Prime Minister of Fiji and the President of Fiji. Dr Jason Hubbard, who leads International Prayer Connect, will also be a significant keynote speaker.

Rick Ridings has a vision to see First Nations people connect with the first nation (Israel).
