Build a Legacy that Lasts: A Father-Son Initiative with Global Impact
It was a simple question that changed everything.
“Chris, what do you want to be remembered for when you’re 65?”
Chris Borrell, then a rising professional in corporate finance at Macquarie Bank, had never given it much thought. He was busy forging a career, providing for his young family, and climbing the corporate ladder. But in that moment, as he sat on the balcony of his parents’ holiday apartment with his wife and then six-month-old daughter, something stirred deep within him.
Without hesitation, he answered, “I want to be a father to the fatherless and work with the next generation of leaders.”
That moment of clarity set off a chain reaction. Within ten days, he had resigned from his high-profile job and stepped into an entirely new mission – one that would change not only his life, but also the lives of fathers and sons across Australia and New Zealand.
Fast forward to today, Borrell is the Founding Director of ZoomAlpha, an organisation dedicated to strengthening the father-son bond and cultivating the leaders of tomorrow. His passion gave birth to the Father & Son Pioneer Program, an extraordinary 13-day experience in Israel designed to deepen relationships, expand horizons, and ignite leadership potential in young men.
A Call to Fathers: What Will Your Legacy Be?
Every father wants to be a hero in his son’s eyes. Every father dreams of leaving a lasting impact, of being the guiding force that shapes his son into a confident, capable leader. Yet, in the whirlwind of work, responsibilities, and daily life, time slips through our fingers.
This program is an invitation to step away from the distractions, to intentionally invest in your relationship with your son in a way that will echo for generations.
The Father & Son Pioneer Program is more than a trip. It’s a transformational experience.
Imagine kayaking down the Jordan River with your son, working together to navigate the currents and sharing moments of exhilaration. Picture the two of you gazing up at the endless night sky in the Israeli desert, marvelling at the vastness of the universe. Envision walking through the ancient palace of King David, over 3,000 years old, stepping where history was made. Explore the bustling innovation hubs of Tel Aviv, where start-ups are rewriting the future – all sparking conversations about ambition, dreams, and what it means to take risks.
A Journey of Discovery – For Both Father and Son
This program is not just about leadership, history, or innovation. It’s about rediscovering what it means to be a father. It’s about passing down wisdom, courage, and faith in a way that no classroom or textbook ever could.
In Malachi 4:6, we are reminded: “And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers.” This is exactly what the Father & Son Pioneer Program seeks to do – restore, strengthen, and deepen the father-son relationship in a world that constantly tries to pull us apart.
Chris Borrell understands the weight of this calling firsthand. “Fathers have a powerful role in shaping their sons,” he says. “This program is about more than just travel. It’s about stepping into that role with intention, creating shared memories, and forging a connection that will last a lifetime.”
More Than an Experience – A Lifelong Brotherhood
When you and your son embark on this journey, you don’t just join a program – you become part of a movement. The Legacy Builders Alumni Network ensures that the bonds formed during these 13 days don’t end when you step off the plane. Fathers and sons become part of a supportive community of like-minded men who encourage, challenge, and walk alongside each other as they navigate fatherhood, leadership, and legacy.
Your Invitation to Join This Life-Changing Journey
The time we have with our sons is fleeting. Before we know it, they will be grown, making their own way in the world. But the legacy we build together – the values we instil, the love we show, the lessons we pass on – will endure far beyond our years.
This is your opportunity to be intentional. To step into your role as a father with renewed purpose. To give your son not just an unforgettable adventure, but a foundation of confidence, leadership, and faith that will guide him for the rest of his life.
Will you answer the call? Will you take this step toward building a legacy that lasts?
