The Power of Partnership Between the Evangelist and Church: Day 33
Intention
To understand the power of partnership between evangelists and the Church in bringing in the harvest of souls.
Scripture
“Sing to the Lord, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvellous deeds among all peoples.”
– 1 Chronicles 16:23–24
“Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd.
“Those who accepted his message were baptised, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.”
– Acts 2:14, 41
“Go and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always.”
– Matthew 28:19–20
Reflection
Evangelists are never meant to work alone. God’s divine design for capturing the harvest involves a partnership between the evangelist and the churches.
The evangelist stirs hearts through bold proclamation, but churches nurture the harvest. Evangelists ‘go fishing’ and the churches must be ready with their nets – discipleship, baptism, and community – to bring in the catch and see them flourish.
This is exactly what happened in Acts 2. Peter preached, and the early Church immediately welcomed thousands into daily fellowship. The early Church was willing and ready to gather the harvest.
Let me share a powerful example of this partnership between some Christ for All Nations (CFAN) evangelists and a church.
In Nundah, Brisbane, Pastor Sonny from Majestic Church felt a stirring. The church was deeply hungry for revival. They prayed, cried out to God, and caught a vision to hold a gospel event under the open skies in Boyd Park, Nundah – a ‘Night of Hope’.
Evangelists and the church came together, but not merely to hold an ‘event’. They sought a move of God that would impact the lives of many.
The night arrived, and the atmosphere was electric with faith and expectation. Powerful worship rose from the stage, and it wasn’t long before hearts were stirred. The gospel was shared with passion and urgency.
People listened. The Spirit of God moved. Then came the invitation: come forward to make Jesus your Lord and Saviour. And they came. Some ran. Some hesitated initially. But they came.
What made the night truly powerful wasn’t just the salvations – it was what happened next.
Evangelists came forward and embraced the new converts. They prayed with them, recorded names, and offered connection to a local church. One whole family was saved. Baptisms happened that night. Follow-ups happened with the church. New believers were discipled, not left behind and forgotten.
That night proved what can happen when the evangelists and the church work together as one body, just like in Acts 2.
This partnership makes all the difference, as seen at Nundah. The net wasn’t just cast – it was held strong, and it caught many.
We believe this is only the beginning.

Thank you Jacqui for highlighting the need for evangelists and the church to work together to bring in the harvest and connect people to local churches. Pray that more churches work together in localities to work together with evangelists to work together in a kingdom attitude and with respect for each ones area of ministry . I have seen and respect that there
Is one church one globally , one locally and that congregations that pray and worship together in a region , regularly in a region , town , city , build trust and pave the way to work together with evangelists to bring in the harvest together and the adding the the church is realised .
