“I Have A Dream”: Charlie Kirk and Martin Luther King Jr Changed the World
Many people have heard of Billy Graham and the impressive crusades he led all around the world. But how many know of his massive influence in the United States Civil Rights movement? Multiple times, he was asked to hold crusades in states that would segregate his audience, but he refused to agree until both white and black audience members could sit together in unity.
Another aspect of Billy Graham’s life that might not be well known is his personal relationships and influence on multiple US presidents, as well as Martin Luther King Jr.
Billy Graham faced hate, violence and death threats because he refused to hold segregated crusades, and he watched on as John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr were assassinated in the fight for racial freedom.
The reason why this is important today is because there is a parallel—a parallel that has played out in just the last few weeks. Here it is:
2024 marked the peak of the woke agenda. Trump was re-elected, and the tide began to turn. As the people continued to wake up to the truth, and as the light shone brighter, those who opposed it also became louder. They realised they were drowning and they weren’t going down without a fight. Their lies didn’t gain traction, their podcasts made no difference, and their voices were muffled by the ever-growing tide of truth; so they took to their last resort—guns.
Listen to Martyn Iles answer the question on video: “What is the Point of Such a Tragedy?”
Martin Luther King Jr had been a voice for equality and a beacon of hope for America in one of its coldest hours. In the same way, Charlie Kirk was also a voice for hard and controversial truths through the buildup and climax of the woke agenda.
Neither Martin Luther King Jr nor Charlie Kirk were president of the United States, but they arguably had just as much influence. They both fought the fight to change the twisted minds and hearts of the people in two of the most pivotal moments in USA politics, and just as the support was growing, their lives were cut short, killed by a desperate opponent in his last attempt to silence the ever-growing voice of truth.
But that is not the end of the story.
Catalyst
The very same year of Martin Luther King Jr’s death, the fight for racial equality was won after over a decade of fighting. And I truly believe that the assassination of Charlie Kirk is also the turning point for the USA—and indeed for the world.
I am not the only one to draw this comparison. Watch this speech in the US Congress:
Within a day of his passing, the internet was flooded with stories of the young generation standing up to continue the fight, of dormant faiths being rekindled, or atheists buying Bibles and reaching out to a church, of husbands inspired to lead their families in God’s paths, of sincere Christians being challenged to live out their faith in new ways, of revivals bursting forth all around the world and the list goes on.
“It is not enough to say we must not wage war.
It is necessary to love peace and sacrifice for it.”
~ Martin Luther King Jr
That is exactly what Charlie Kirk did; it was what he stood for and why he went out and debated with his fellow voters and countrymen.
No one will be able to replace Charlie Kirk. He is one of a kind. But it is still our responsibility to pick up the torch. The harvest is ripe, especially now after his passing. So let us not be silenced. Let us not fear hate, violence, or even death, but let us boldly continue the fight.
“If you thought Charlie Kirk had a huge impact in his life,
wait till you see how big an impact he has in death.”
~ Topher Field
If you were waiting for the sign, then here it is. This is the time to pick up your cross and follow Jesus with all the might that He has given you. You don’t need to be educated, fit, popular or confident; you just need to be willing to say, “Here I am, Lord, send me.”

Really great article Acacia. Huge congratulations!
Thank you Warwick! It is a very important message.
Very well said
Correct, indeed the impact after his Death will not be able to be measured. Great Article
Well ,I never heard of him before the hit , excepting maybe Roseanne barr mentioning his name .
I’ve watched he’s shooting ,seen the effect ,heard the stories ,which I find unbelievable from those who commandeered an vehicle ,and bundled Charlie up into it and transported him to the hospital .Who does that ? Who moves a critically injured body without stretchers or anything ?
Course you can’t tourniquet a neck but you can try to reduce the bleeding while waiting for an ambulance And it’s standard practice normally to have an ambulance at gatherings here .Just in case .
Anyway I’m not so certain any of its what it seems .
I’ve just finished listening to Charlie telling that everything’s about connecting to the North Star ⭐. which I don’t understand at all .
You can find it here
Charlie Kirk -Unreleased !Must Watch ..you tube .I couldn’t find it on yahoo or google but did on duck go go .
I do have to make a point here ,that I think younger generation Christians have no knowledge of .Catholics were FORBIDDEN to read the Bible for ever up until ,some say ,recently .They were only allowed to read the pope’s Catechisms .By papal law or doctrine .Therefore ,no ,they weren’t Bible aware parents able to engage in discipleship .Now in the last few decades I’ve heard Catholics or alleged Catholics scoff at the very idea of not reading the Bible .I can say I know not of one who has ever read the Bible from the first word to the last as any other book ..Not one .
Thank you Acacia. This is a wonderful tribute to Charlie and his unstoppable work and burden to share his faith. H e was called to talk to young audiences so they might understand there is a God who loves them – who truly cares for them. Whilst he was unique you have shown parallels with Martin Luther -another hero of the faith.
His legacy will live on until Jesus comes again. Amen.may God protect Erikaand the team who have taken on that mantle…May many follow in the steps of Jesus as Charlie did.
