Soul Submitted Designs: Empowering the Believer to Share Jesus with the World
My mission is to empower believers to share. But share what?
Share their faith. Share their story of hope in Christ. Of lives transformed, freedom from addiction, healing, joy, refuge, deliverance and provision. The list really never ends. Praise be to God!
Yes, verbally sharing our testimony is powerful, but what about the times we communicate or share without speaking? Are those expressions less valuable? In the words of St Paul — surely not!
How do we represent our faith daily? And especially in public spaces where we cannot possibly ‘speak to everyone’, or when it is not appropriate to take up a loudspeaker and preach repentance.
The answer is simple! We can share our faith through the clothes we wear.
Evangelisation by Fashion
For Christians, getting dressed to go out is rarely neutral. What we wear is often the first representation others see of our morals, standards and style. Put frankly, our clothing choices can either blend us into the current culture or boldly testify to another kingdom culture.
Clothing has always carried meaning. Uniforms signal allegiance, robes convey office, and slogans declare causes or brand identity. Think of the tradie: workwear signifies trustworthiness, skill and, in some cases, authority. Similarly, the attire we select for interviews or professional spaces communicates respect, readiness and credibility. Even when we choose clothing purely for comfort, colour or fit, we still communicate something to those who see us. Our apparel speaks before we ever open our mouths.
I’ve witnessed a simple t-shirt, printed with gospel truth, become a conversation starter, a marker of identity, even a small act of evangelism. For a believer who sees their life as submitted to Christ, choosing what apparel to wear ceases to be just about fabric or colour; it becomes about readiness and the potential for opportunities that can lead to much more.
Soul Submitted Designs T-shirts position Christians to express in their workplaces, home life, ministries, hobbies and relationships that every aspect of their life is the Lord’s. It is a subtle but powerful choice and reminder that we are called to be ready to share His goodness all of the time.
And it is more than a brand! It has become a platform for the Gospel to engage thoughtfully, beautifully and strategically with the culture around us through dance, art and creativity.
Striking the balance between bold declaration of faith and tasteful subtlety is Soul Submitted Designs’ niche.
Share the Gospel Message
From the decree of our core logo, Soul Submitted, begs the question: a soul submitted to what? The large cross beneath those words points clearly to Christ. To our extremely simplistic jesus.saves T-shirts with front chest print; the lowercase font reflecting our non-case-conforming, email-filled modern world. It is a clever invitation to the reader to consider salvation in Jesus as relevant to their current everyday life.
Another popular design is the CROSS SPEAKS LOVE design. A small pocket print features a cross with a speech bubble ‘speaking’ love, which is represented as a love heart. I’ve seen that pocket print spark curiosity in a passerby, and therein is a natural segue to share why the wearer believes the cross speaks love. The back design is a bold, capitalised CROSS SPEAKS LOVE in a single colour, a fun yet meaningful expression of God’s love with a focus on the cross, the place where Jesus hung, therefore expressing the greatest gift of love ever – that of his life for ours. But we know this as believers, to the onlooker, these three words invite reflection: Can a cross speak? And if so, why would it speak love?
Here is YOUR invitation to check your old T-shirts at the door.
To put on something that does more than cover your body.
To choose to wear a message that matters..
To let your clothing become your witness.

The Church is wimpy, and it's destroying the nation. That's the blunt assessment of Rev. Chris Wickland, a UK clergyman who refuses to soften the gospel for perceived cultural acceptance. And he has a point. From the rise of "woke" institutional Christianity to the abdication of prophetic witness, the modern Church has traded its backbone for a desperate attempt to attain a disappearing seat at the table.

Questions on the environment produced the most lopsided results of any category tested, with every single model favouring climate concerns over growth. Removing one model’s “safety” layer moved its religion score from secular-leaning to neutral.

We're told that progressive politics equals compassion, inclusion and kindness. But shocking reactions to Ann Widdecombe's murder — celebrating her death and hoping she died in extreme pain — reveal the socialist left's blatant 'hate speech' hypocrisy and disturbing double standards of the highest degree.

I’m in a small team of street evangelists in cross cultural areas of Melbourne. I’ve been considering getting a good quality over-sized T shirt with Arabic, Urdu, Chinese and another language Gospel logos printed on the front and back of the shirt. I can do this myself but I am interested if a firm could take up this for me, with the messages I provide put on where I want them. Muslim people pray for the Straight Path 5 times a day: I could have Jesus said “I am the Way the Truth and the Life” in Arabic. Do your readers have other ideas?
