God Over Government: Ralph Babet’s Fiery Senate Stand
Senator Ralph Babet (UAP) has been mocked for proclaiming God over government in parliament on Tuesday.
He told The Daily Declaration that another senator was harassing him off-camera during the short speech.
Unbothered, Babet said, “That’s fine.”
“It takes real courage to walk into the lion’s den and speak the name of God where He’s been banished.”
Undeterred, the UAP senator indicated that he won’t stop.
“If we stay silent,” he asserted, “we may as well hand Satan the keys to our nation and watch our civilisation burn.”
Asked for further comment, Senator Babet shared with The Daily Declaration:
“The message of my speech was simple.
“Australia has lost its way because it has turned its back on the Christian foundations that built it.
“Secularism promised enlightenment but delivered confusion,” he remarked.
“We’ve replaced God with government, virtue with vanity, and truth with propaganda. It’s time we choose again between light and darkness.“
Babet’s two-minute speech did just that.
He spoke Scripture into the Senate chamber. Specifically, Genesis 1:1-4.
False Idols
God’s objective Word pierced the darkness, the Senator declared.
“This is where it all began, and this is where we must return if we want to rebuild the nation.”
Jesus is the only answer to Australia’s current slide into socio-political chaos, he explained.
“Today,” Babet asserted,” we find ourselves once again surrounded by darkness—a spiritual darkness that has crept into every corner of our civilisation.”
“Our society, once strong, confident, and God fearing, is crumbling.”
Babet also tore into postmodernism and the relativist, hyper-individualism that’s ripping faith, families, and freedoms apart.
“Instead of virtue,” Babet explained, “we’ve got vanity. Instead of truth, we’ve got ‘my truth.’
“Instead of God, we’ve got government—a false idol, demanding obedience but offering no redemption.”
“How did it come to this?” he asked.
“It happened because we turned our backs on the foundation that built the West: the Christian faith.
“We have rejected the truth that there is one God, one moral law and one path to salvation.
“For centuries, Christianity gave us purpose and moral strength,” the Senator asserted, “Now, we worship false idols.”
“Without Christianity,” Babet said, “the West is rich in luxury but starving in spirit.”
Reject the Post-Christian West
He then made a bold call for revival.
“The time for being timid is over,” he concluded.
“Wear your cross. Go to Mass. Speak truth without fear.
“Rebuilding the West doesn’t start in parliament, in universities or in the media; it starts in the heart.”
Have the “courage to stand on God’s side.”
“God separated the light from the darkness once before, and he can do it again.”
Babet revealed to The Daily Declaration his reasons for the speech.
The content ties into a recent YouTube video correcting misconceptions about Australia’s Christian foundations.
Both the speech and the video, he said, “call Australians to remember who we are, a nation shaped by Christian faith, moral courage, and a belief in objective truth.”
“Our freedoms,” he added, “didn’t come from bureaucracy or an ideology. They came from the light of Christ.”
To paraphrase the Senator’s overall point: “Modern Australia” is a euphemism for a de-Christianised Australia.
There is a direct connection between dechristianisation and the growing co-dependency on daddy government.
Government over God is government gone wrong. How to discern a good government from a bad one is simple.
Just look for where they’re encouraging us all to be doped up, docile, divorced, diseased, and in debt.
Babet isn’t just brave, he’s absolutely right.
Now is the time for choosing. It’s either Christ or chaos!
As Ruth Ponniah’s 1988 bicentennial addition to the Australian anthem proclaims,
“With Christ our head and cornerstone,
We’ll build our nation’s might.
Whose way and truth and light alone
Can guide our path aright.
Our lives a sacrifice of love
Reflect our Master’s care.
With faces turned to heaven above,
Advance Australia Fair.”

Thirty Muslims living in the West have made their intentions crystal clear. They've announced their plans to dominate your country, replace your values, and transform your way of life — all on camera, in their own words. They're not hiding their Islamic agenda. The question is: When will we start believing them?

May the Lord bless, keep and protect you, dear Senator Babet. You speak the Truth Australians are perishing for want of hearing and living by it. You have my vote.
Amen! Well said.
Rod, thank you so much for bringing this good news story to our attention. The fact that Babet got heckled is a sure sign he is right on target.
Thank you, Senator Barney for standing for God, for truth ,for Righteousness and for the church.
A well presented article. Well done Senator Babet. May the Lord continue to strengthen you
Your words of truth penetrate this dark world we live in.
Thank you for taking a stand for Jesus, our Saviour and Lord. Blessings Senator Babet.
Warms my heart that you said all this is Parliament. Well done.
So good to hear a politician prepared to stand for his faith in Jesus, may God bless you for your words.
May Jesus bless you and keep you, His wall of fire of protection up around you. Your courage under fire has heaven rejoicing. Thankyou for being God’s voice in parliament.
Thank you Lord for Senator Babet and his courageous talk. Senator Babet has truly so tood as Daniel did in the lions den and proclaimed the truth- that we have fallen away from our Judeo Christin heritage and this in turn has caused society, and this generation to stumble along in the dark. We can’t re define God. as He remains the same, as Our Cretaor, the author of the Bible and the one who is sovereign over heaven and earth.
We can contine to rebel against our Maker but we will bear the adverse consequences and we can see the result of all this in the schools, work place, famlies and in the streets.
May there be a turning back and may God have mercy
Thank you Senator Babet for standing strong against the satanic invasion Australian territory.. May there be a massive groundswell of support behind the Christian church of Australia.. Amen
Thankyou Senator Babet for standing up for TRUTH, no matter what the consequences! I’m so glad that we have you and other Christians in our Parliament in this, I believe, critical time in our history! I’m holding you up in prayer and intercession , as many others are, on behalf of our “Great Southland of the Holy Spirit”. Australia!!
Amen.
Well done and well said.
Now United Australia Party and One Nation and Liberal leaders also with Backbone and Courage what are going to put together to provide this Turning point for Australia.
Standing in disunity and fragmented options and facing many issues which need a cohesive framework to provide healthy Government.
Pauline Hansin , One Nation has stood Alone too long, Jacinta Price in support if Indigenous people another to whom stands courageously.
There is confusion in the ranks.
and contributing to individual splinter parties is not God dependent.
I really do appreciate the Strength of your message, I do not appreciate everyone having a divided party front making it near impossible to decide who to vote for.
There are leaders we admire for their stance and strongly desire to support but you are all fragmented leaving us at a default vote.
Like every individual player is saying support me.
Who would you support to form a recognisable alternative Government?
Have the conversation and sort out the issues of disagreement.
There is no marriage (Oneness, Unity)and oneness amongst you.
However it appears there is much to agree on between you.
We desire to see gender issues sorted and false and misleading government taken to account on issues affecting Austrlians which this government appears to have. very low or no care.
Show me a party who are going to support Young Australians and those who provide much needed rehabilitation work and that work strongly to rehabilitate families and support restoration.
Too much energy consumed in splintered directions.
United Australia party
One Nation
Family Voice
Christian party
Australia party
Put a framework in place that ANZACS would feel they died for something and also that Christ ‘s favour rests on.
A Blessed Nation not a fragmented troubled Nation
Genesis 12:3
Isaiah 55(8-9)
God’s Ways are definitely Higher than man’s ways and this government has demonstrated the extreme nature of that.
The foundation is God Given Authority to Rule.
We desire to see a party joined on this platform as per Federation understanding Jesus Christ as Head and He, Given All Authority.
Thank you Senator Babet, for you steadfast courage and giving us all encouragement that there are people in parliament serving the Lord first.
We need leaders like you to encourage us Aussies to stop, humble ourselves, turn
from our wicked ways, pray and seek the Lord, that he may hear from heaven, forgive our sin and heal our land.
Thank you so much for encouraging us all to keep us our hope and courage in the Lord
God bless mate
Thank you SO much Senator Babet for speaking out in the Parliament and voicing what many, many of us pray and want to say. God bless you and raise up many more across this land who can speak with the power and authority that will make a difference. Thank you Canberra Declaration for making this available to us.
Massive Congratulations for your amazing speech. Probably the greatest speech I have ever heard in the Parliament in my whole life!!!!!
May the Lord God Almighty raise up other courageious men and women, who like Senator Ralph Babet, will boldly speak truth into this present darkness in which our nation is now enveloped.
Keep up the good work Ralph, and our other Christian parliamentarians, for you are the light of the world and the salt of the earth – don’t hide your light under basket.
Luke 8:16 “No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a jar or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a stand, so that those who enter may see the light.”
Psa 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.
Well said💜
Amen!!
Thanks for taking a right stand for Australia , Senator Babet
God bless Australia, to remain strongly for Jesus Christ our Saviour Amen 🙏
Thank you, Senator Babet for your courage . I proudly wear daily a cross given to me by an Ethiopian Taxi driver . i wish those closet Christians in Parliament had your courage to stand up for their beliefs for the good of Australia.
Good on you Senator Babet…. You said what many Australians would like to say in that den of lions…. Parluament…. Thank you for saying what the “Church” should have been saying for many decades…… where is the Church when it is soooo needed….!!!!!
Yes, God was taken out of Parliament, schools, society., and look what we have, chaos, confusion, deception, and misguidance..,,, and now we have pan-Islamist groups wanting to overtake our society…. Goodness gracious people of our land, stand up and fight against the darkness that infiltrating our land…. Come Lord Jesus ,
