A Bleak Way to Make the Case for Human Dignity
If you ever wonder about the ghoulishness of Democrats, consider the fact that Chelsea Clinton last week made an economic case for abortion.
Clinton told a group of activists on Saturday that legalised abortion had been a good thing — not just because it gave women “the dignity to make our own choices”, but because it had added $3.5 trillion to the economy!
“It is not a disconnected fact… that American women entering the labor force from 1973 to 2009 added three and a half trillion dollars to our economy. Right?”
More than 60 million babies have been aborted in the USA since 1973.
But don’t be upset. It’s good for business!
Wow.
Nothing says “human dignity” quite like putting a dollar figure on the economic benefits of people who were never born.
The Immigration Contradiction
But here’s the most insane part…
If you follow Democrat logic, adding millions of illegals to the country is helping the economy. But adding millions of babies to the country would hurt the economy.
The hypocrisy is never-ending.
The unborn are treated as an economic liability while mass immigration is routinely presented as an economic asset.
Apparently, the American Dream comes with an immigration visa, but not with a birth certificate.
What the Calculation Leaves Out
The truly bizarre thing about reducing abortion to an economic calculation is that it reveals precisely what is missing from the calculation: the person.
A child isn’t a negative GDP event waiting to happen.
A child is a human being who might one day invent something, cure something, build something, love someone, raise a family or simply make his parents’ lives considerably more chaotic.
And if your argument for abortion ultimately boils down to, “Think of all the economic productivity we gained,” you might want to ask what happened to the old progressive idea that human beings are more than their economic productivity.
Apparently, that principle has a fiscal-year expiry date.
Whatever your view on abortion, rejoicing that 60 million babies were never born because it might have helped the national balance sheet (a dubious claim) is a remarkably bleak way to make the case for human dignity.

The rot was setting in when we stopped having personnel managers in favour of human resource managers.
This little chickadee certainly appears to be as wicked as her parents.
Apples and trees.
Chelsea Clinton should have been aborted if every aborted child resulted in an increase in the wealth of the USA by approx $600,000 per aborted baby.

It was Ronald Reagan who said …”ever notice how every person in favour of abortion has already been born.”
Perhaps Chelsea Clinton should have been aborted if every aborted child resulted in an extra $600,000 added to the economy of the USA over the last 53 years.
It was Ronald Reagan who famously said… “funny how everyone who is in favour of abortion is already born.”
Disgusting !– treating babies as a financial burden on a country , and, claiming abortion is a ” financial benefit ” to society ( Gross Domestic Product ). The financial burden, the crime which comes with the wrong kind of immigrants is conveniently misreported and treated as a financial ” benefit”. Does Australia need more self-segregated communities ( a State apart within Australia ) whose members refuse to learn English or integrate with mainstream Australians, or, to respect our laws and values and Christian and Jewish religions. We do not need more Manicurists, more Sex Workers (Prostitutes), Baristas, Taxi-drivers , more imported Criminal Bikie Gangs ( Pimps and Arsonists ) involved in the importation and distribution of Drugs , Firearms and Weapons . We need people with REAL skills in building houses, etc. Old people, like me ,cannot get ” for love or money ” , a gardener, a cleaner, someone to change a light globe, someone to take me shopping while I am temporarily injured. Forget MY Aged Care–what a useless organisation ! Need is assessed by AI !!! In the State where I live, Community Transport Service- is a Federally and State subsidised ” Not For Profit Charity ” which annually receives according to AI approx. $12 million. As it is a Charity, the annual remuneration for the CEO, Members of the Board and their Fringe Benefits (car , Bonuses, etc ) are prohibited from individual disclosure. Whilst , under the Corporations Act, they could operate with a minimum of 3 Directors and a Secretary, it operates with 4 Key Executives and 10 Board Members . AI states CTST is expanding its Executive Leadership Team by recruiting an additional Executive ” Manager People + Capability ” to oversee “Culture and Volunteer Strategy ” .What does that mean ? Is this really necessary ? And these Key Executives are allowed to Work from Home, have Flexible Work Arrangements, go to Professional Development Courses , etc, and can receive Annual Cash Bonuses “tied to organisational and financial milestones ” . Does it mean their Annual Bonuses are assessed on how much they have increased ( the already very expensive fares )by how much the Charity has increased the cost of trips in the last 12 months ?Meanwhile , this Charity , which is top heavy in my opinion , and relies on volunteer drivers who are given punishing schedules , charges me to go to the CBD for medical treatment, etc $52-00 a trip PLUS GST ! In 1980 it was my duty as an employee of the ATO to evaluate and register Charities for SA and NT. I was the only person doing the job. The Rules were very strictly enforced by me .It seems to me, that in today’s Australia , it is who you know or who you are related to , or, which Political Party or Club, you are a member ? (not your experience or qualifications) to get one of these plum jobs ! I suggest One Nation investigate all “Charities ” and amend the Law governing them to stop rorting and giving we , the mugs ,who are ” paying through the nose “, fair , reasonable fares, by ordering reduction in the numbers of Top Management and reduced numbers of Board Members , and, out with “Working from Home”, annual Bonuses because they have got more revenue by the increased fares for the Elderly in the last 12 months. CTST has a Monopoly on transport here . To the best of my knowledge, there is no competition as no one else operates another local Transport Service , so, this Charity can charge whatever they like !In my opinion , the once decent , honest Australia, is in 2026, all one fat racket ,eg NDIS, etc which needs to be severely cut ! It is a Company “VIRUS ” which seems to have started with Allan Joyce , ex-CEO of Qantas , and others , especially the CEOS of Banks, whom many angry Australians wanted charged and jailed after what was revealed in The Royal Commission ( the CBA was charging Financial Advice to Dead People !) , but, all the CROOKS walked away with their ill-gotten Loot ! Probably hidden in Overseas Tax Havens !
What an appalling attitude.
I wonder if she would like that on her gravestone?
