Senate Report Whitewashes Plight of Babies Born Alive
A Senate report into the issue of babies born alive has ignored evidence of the practice, instead highlighting evidence from abortion providers and the pro-abort lobby.
Late last week the Senate report into the issue of babies born alive after an abortion was handed down.
In a shocking development, the report fails to acknowledge the plight of babies born alive after an abortion and makes no recommendations for the passage of the Human Rights (Children Born Alive) Protection Bill 2022.
The Senate report into the issue of babies born alive after failed abortions has whitewashed the issue relying on the evidence of abortion providers and abortion advocates to reach its conclusion.
Chair of the committee Senator Marielle Smith and the other five Senators did not even reference the known and reported cases of babies born alive and left to die after failed abortions or any scholarly evidence on the issue.
Evidence of Babies Born Alive Omitted
Alongside others, I presented oral evidence to the Senate Committee in June and clearly established the evidence that every week in Australia a child is born alive after a failed abortion and left to die without a legal right to care.
In my evidence before the Senate I shared two coronial reports with the Committee, one of a baby dumped in a medical waste bin at Westmead Hospital whilst still alive and another of Jessica Jane, left to die on a kidney dish for 80 minutes without care.
I also spoke of the plight of Tim, a baby who was aborted because of Down Syndrome in Germany who was left to die for over 9 hours after a failed abortion until a nurse relented and gave him medical care. Unfortunately, in Australia, baby Xanthe who also had a diagnosis of Down Syndrome, was left to die alone in a Queensland hospital after a failed abortion in 2020.
None of this evidence was cited in the majority report by the Senate Committee and instead they chose to highlight the evidence of abortion providers and other pro-abortion groups.

Today, as suggested, I rang SA Liberal Senator Birmingham’s office . I gave my name and address and explained I was Pro Life. The woman who answered started to give me a whole lecture why the Bill was going nowhere and that eminent doctors were against saving the lives of these babies whose abortions had failed. I interrrupted her , telling her I did not give a fig for the opinions of her so-called , unnamed experts and told her I am an Only Child because my mother had numerous abortions, one in 1948 (when I was 4) nearly killed her , and, that I believe leaving babies to die is evil, murder ! I suggest people check first with Sen. Birmingham’s office to confirm that he is against Pro-Life before contacting Mr. Dutton to remove him from his ministry because he is “soft “on Defence of Australia too ! He seems to side with Terrorists like Hamas andFatah and its many thousands of Australian supporters with the result that Australia’s security is seriously compromised , especially by bringing in (security unchecked ) people (terrorists?) from Gaza who had plenty of warning to leave !
