Let the Strange Death of Europe Games Begin
We despise ourselves. Why should migrants respect us? And why should enemies fear us?
The strange death of Europe continued, with the Olympic Games opening ceremony mocking Christianity as if doing so was somehow enlightened.
How strange that — as Islam with its calls for sharia law gains an increasing foothold across the Western world — the West responds by destroying its own foundation.
This perilous moment in history is a time to reassert our Judeo-Christian heritage and the freedoms it guarantees, not to ridicule it as if it were a liability.
The French may imagine the Last Supper being replaced by an obese woman with transgendered disciples, but the millions of immigrants flooding into Europe imagine a very different future.
And the LGBTQ+ crowd will not be part of it.
One Big Mess
The Olympic Games opening ceremony, once a showcase of cultural magnificence, was turned into a woke vomit of gender queerness.
Aside from the “love is love” crowd, who would have seen the display as proof they have now conquered every part of what was once called Christendom, the most enthusiastic viewers would have been our enemies.
The mullahs in Iran, the communists in China, and the strong man in Russia would have noted that the West’s foundations are even weaker than they had imagined.
We despise ourselves. Why should migrants respect us? And why should our enemies fear us?
The Opening Ceremony of the Games may as well have been the closing ceremony of Western civilisation.
A culture that invites the world to watch as it mocks its own values, trashes its own history and blasphemes its own religion, is a culture paving the way for its own demise.
It’s noteworthy that the ceremony mocked Christianity but left Islam alone; in so doing, they acknowledged that they have already surrendered their culture.
The enemies of the West watched the opening ceremony and no doubt agreed – let the games begin.

James, this is so very sad (I don’t really have words for it). When I heard about this ‘spectacle’, I knew that the ‘Olympic Games’ had been overrun by the god of Woke. It made me grieve for the athletes from all over the world who have now, inadvertently, signed up for men to compete in women’s sports, but strangely never to admit women to compete in men’s sports. This was the ‘death of sport’ for me.

In his homily during Mass today (7/28/24) at the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy, Fr. Chris Alar, MIC, talks about the controversy surrounding the Olympic Opening Ceremony, what happened and what you can do.
The IOC apologised for calling the South Koreans “North Korea” (They got their democratic and republic mixed up), but there was no apology to the offence caused to Christians! Thanks guys for bringing this up and speaking so forthrightly!
Not the death of Christianity – nothing can kill Christianity – just the death of the fake ‘unity’ of nations. It’s time to defund and dismantle the United Nations. Maybe when they are out of the picture, nations will be able to get their identities back and the world will be able to recover from the mess the “UN”isation of world has made. This fake “UN”isation is at the heart of the whole fake ‘woke’ movement. Thanks for the article.
My own belief is that God will not be mocked. The Scripture is clear on this. I would not like to be the shoes of those who so openly showed their own biases, intolerances and blasphemous beliefs. The best we can do is pray that they will truly repent, and also make the Olympic and French governmental authorities aware that they have gone far too far. Enough is enough.
The depraved West is committing self- immolation while our enemies rub their hands with glee. Time long over -due to pull out of Woke UN and its associated bodies. Why waste millions on parasitic , unelected bureaucrats who ham us and future generations?The Australian National Library ‘s policy is to get rid of any books which do not support its Woke UN agendas. Have a look at the millions Australia has promised to donate to the Arts to produce a whole lot of rubbish to replace our glorious classical music and opera, ballet and Western art. Reminds me of the imposed ,tasteless art of Communist countries. Why not spend on hospitals, etc instead and leave our history, our books and statues alone ?
