Dubbed the murder of justice, Islam’s blasphemy laws are claiming yet another victim.

Without international pressure, 22-year-old Ehsan Shan will likely be executed for domestic terrorism.

Ehsan Shan Sentenced to Death

Charged with ‘incitement’ for allegedly posting ‘hateful content’ on TikTok, Shan was sentenced to death for his so-called part in triggering a Muslim riot in August 2023.

An impromptu purge of Christians broke out after local Muslims falsely accused two brothers of ‘desecrating the Quran’.

Reacting, a mob of thousands descended on the Jaranwala Christian community, torched around 200 homes, and destroyed over 12 churches.

Shan was arrested three days later for inciting the riot, after posting footage of the damaged Quran online.

Although the ‘desecration’ was proven to be revenge for a personal dispute, Shan was accused of inciting the brief Islamic reign of terror.

A court then subsequently convicted him of blaspheming Islam on social media.

Condemned, while others were acquitted, Shan was also fined 1 million Pakistani rupees ($5,450) and handed a 22-year prison sentence.

Commenting on the ‘hate speech’ case, International Christian Concern (ICC) rightly said, this is what the legal system looks like in Pakistan: protecting Islam means killing Christians.

“Radical Muslims burn down dozens of homes and churches, and the only ‘justice’ being served is putting the Christians who called it out to death.”

Petition to Advocate for Ehsan Shan

A CitizenGO petition set up on Shan’s behalf has already gained close to 120,000 signatures, with a goal of reaching 200,000.

Addressed to Australia’s ironically pro-Islam foreign minister, Penny Wong, CitizenGO is requesting the Australian Labor government intervene and demand Shan’s immediate release.

Wong, they said, has the power to “engage in diplomatic talks with Pakistan to advocate for Ehsan Shan.”

Other options include raising awareness at the UN, and “co-ordinating Australia’s allies to submit a robust response, alongside public statements condemning” the injustice.

“Faith should not be a death sentence!”

Christian Persecution Around the World

From Egypt, to Iran, Pakistan, North Korea, and Nicaragua, examples of weaponised blasphemy legislation warn the West against replacing free speech with forced speech.

In Egypt, Ramy Kamel was imprisoned for “misinformation” after criticising the widespread kidnapping, forced marriage, and forced conversions of Coptic women.

Under new anti-treason laws, Nicaragua charged priests in 2022 with “spreading fake news, and hate speech”, then imprisoned them for domestic terrorism.

Churches were sieged by Soviet-era Sandinistas, forcing NGO’s, and eight Christian radio stations, to close.

Rolando Álvarez, along with at least four others were falsely incarcerated because the state turned freedom of speech into violence against the state.

As I wrote in August, Pakistan’s two-tier policing problem is a well-documented flashpoint for Christians living under, near, and next to Islam.

The plight of Nouman Asghar and Sunny Mushtaq testify to the obscene arbitrary power of ‘hate speech’ legislation.

Both were charged and sentenced to death for offending Mohammed after a Muslim – who remains free – sent cartoon drawings of the warlord on their mobile phones through WhatsApp.

Also in Pakistan, 32-year-old, Christian Saima Masih was arrested after a Muslim lynch mob attacked her, after she was falsely accused of insulting Islam.

Consequently, the mother of two may spend the rest of her life in prison.

Christian couple Shagufta and Shafqat Emmanuel are another example.

They were imprisoned for seven years before being released.

Accused of sending an “offensive message about Mohammed”, police raided the family home, and then detained them.

Shafqat was forced to confess, under the threat of “Shagufta being raped in front of him”.

Additionally, their four children had to go into hiding, and be moved around because Islamists, “had threatened to kill them”.

Shafqat left prison paralysed.

Islamic Blasphemy Laws and its Significance for the West

ICC is not overstating the situation when they state Pakistan is unjustly killing Christians in order to protect Islam from just criticism.

This has significance for the West.

I’ve written extensively for some time now on the relationship between ‘hate speech’ laws and Islam’s blasphemy bureaucracy.

Islamic blasphemy legislation has a direct link to ‘hate speech’ lawfare.

While attempts to force these laws into Western judiciaries are new, policing thoughts and prosecuting opinions as violence is a painful reality for many living in both Muslim and Marxist-majority countries.

Such bad laws tend to involve a bloody, and painfully slow, miscarriage of justice.

These evil, arbitrary laws, also lean towards the globalist trend that falsely equates words with violence and peaceful political opposition with domestic terrorism.

The most obvious Western examples include the weaponisation of the United States Department of Justice against Donald Trump.

As well as the Biden administration’s J6 political opponents, and pro-life political prisoners.

The UK is not much different.

Pro-life advocates are being arrested for silently praying outside abortion factories.

Then there’s silencing of those critical of Islam, such as Tommy Robinson, whose persecution is powered by the Islamification of Britain’s judiciary.

In Australia, the 18C amendment on anti-discrimination and Labor’s ‘misinformation and disinformation’ legislation presents the same parallels with Pakistan.

As argued, there is a clear link between Islamic blasphemy litigation, and Fasco-Marxian ‘hate speech’ legislation.
