Rising Against the Darkness: Defending Life in a Culture of Death
The war on life rages on in darkness, but God is raising up heroes to defend the unborn.
In Genesis 2:7, it is recorded that God formed man from the dust, then breathed life into him, making him a living being. At around the same time, a pride-filled angel, Lucifer, rebelled against the Creator. Along with his supporters, he was cast out of his prime position in heaven.
His new home: Earth.
Rather than repenting for his rebellion, Lucifer has doubled down on it for roughly six thousand years since he first fell from an eternity close to God. He was created to worship God but chose to worship himself. From the beginning, this enemy has sown strife, murder, selfishness, corruption, deceit, and delusion — all with one purpose: to hurt the Creator by destroying His greatest creation — mankind: men, women, and children.
A War on the Vulnerable
Throughout history — through wars, plagues, murders, natural disasters, and accidents — the most deaths have surely occurred among the vulnerable.
The sacrifice of babies and children has been recorded since ancient times. But the sheer volume of children being sacrificed in the world today surpasses anything seen before. Killing the unborn is more blatant than ever — celebrated as a right and a good thing, even called a sacred act by some deluded leaders within the Christian Church!
God forbid!
Surely we can agree that every life lost to violence is a tragedy.
Bullies always target those weaker than themselves — but only until a hero steps up. It is through bullying at many levels that the death cult has become so prevalent across societies worldwide.
God Is Raising Up Heroes
Right now, God is raising up humble heroes. We are called to be those heroes—to be salt, preserving life, celebrating life, and protecting life.
The Greens and many other groups have swallowed the lie that Planet Earth cannot sustain an increasing and abundant population. They stand atop tall city buildings, looking out at endless concrete, and convince themselves that the only solution is to reduce the number of people.
They call it an honourable pursuit.
But when we rise to the height of a jetliner, we see the truth: Towns and cities shrink into patches among vast expanses of sustaining gardens, lakes, and forests, with even greater stretches of water covering the earth.
God commanded us to care for the earth—it doesn’t care for itself.
The real potential population of this planet is mind-blowing—the opposite of what the loudest voices would have us believe.
If God’s desire is to have obedient, loving children, how blessed our Father will be if the earth is filled with them! After all, the first thing He said to Adam and Eve after blessing them was: “Multiply and fill the earth.” (Genesis 1:28).
Be ready to push back against the small-minded bullies poisoning Australia with fear and lies. Pray for, support, and encourage our heroes — whether in politics, pulpits, or pubs.
It’s the least we can do. After all, Christ died so that we can have life — abundant life!
