Mad Democrats Barrack for the Failure of Tesla

26 March 2025

1.7 MINS

For more evidence that the US dodged a bullet on 6 November, look no further than could-have-been Vice President Tim Walz.

Just six months ago, the Minnesota Governor was promising to spread joy and unity throughout the United States.

Last week, he was fantasising about one of America’s largest companies going broke.

He told a crowd of Democrat supporters in a triumphant tone:

“On the iPhone they’ve got that little stock app. I added Tesla to give me a little boost during the day — $225 and dropping!”

The crowd roared with approval.

Divisive and Destructive

Imagine a one-time Vice Presidential candidate publicly barracking for the failure of an American manufacturer that employs more than 120,000 people.

What happened to “we are all Americans”?

But it’s even sillier than that.

Walz’s own Minnesota State Board of Investment owns more than 1.8 million shares in Tesla, mostly to help fund aged pensions.

This sad and petty little man is cheering as people’s retirement accounts drop in value, all because his political party is encouraging its worst elements to commit vandalism against the products of an American company to help tank the stock.

I can’t believe the Democrats are polling at even 27 percent.

This nasty, divisive and destructive attitude is entirely on brand for Democrats.

It’s not that many years ago that these same people — Walz’s wife included — were cheering the burning and looting of American cities.

Tim’s wife, Gwen, told journalists she kept her windows open during the Black Lives Matter riots so that she could better smell the fires burning across her city.

Irony

And there’s something else happening here.

Tim Walz is cheering on the decline of the number one EV manufacturer while simultaneously claiming to champion green energy policies.

The cognitive dissonance is strong with this one.

But there’s more. There’s always more.

Tim Walz, who has aspirations of running for President in 2028, was dunking on Elon Musk’s company on the same day that Elon Musk’s other company rescued two American astronauts abandoned in space by the Biden Administration for almost 300 days.

Walz is literally writing the Republican advertisements that will be used against Democrats in the 2028 election.

I’ll give the final word to Elon Musk. In response to Walz’s jibe that:

“If you need a little boost during the day, check out Tesla stock.”

Musk responded:

“Sometimes when I need a little boost, I look at the JD Vance portrait in the White House and thank the Lord.”

I think we can all say ‘amen’ to that!
