I’ve previously written about how the Dads4Kids Men’s Leadership Summit has been life-changing for my family and me. To recap:
2018 was a breakthrough year. The preceding few years had been particularly difficult, thanks to some poor decisions on my part – both in business and in my relationships.
Looking back, I had fallen into passivity and failed to recognise the warning signs around me. Even when I was paying attention, I was slow to act and came dangerously close to losing my marriage and everything I had worked for.
There have certainly been challenges since 2018, but by God’s grace, our family continues to go from strength to strength.
One constant has been the incredible Dads4Kids community and our annual Men’s Leadership Summit, which brings us together and continues to change lives. The best part? Early bird registrations are now open for the 2025 Men’s Leadership Summit, taking place from 8–10 August at the picturesque Stanwell Tops Conference Centre in NSW.
Embracing the Masculine Way
As men, husbands, and fathers, we often gravitate towards either domineering or passive behaviour patterns in our family relationships. This is usually a result of, or a reaction to, the relational behaviours modelled to us as children.
Bryan Ward, founder of Third Way Man, describes the first type of man as “high in strength, low in love”. The second type is “high in love, low in strength”.
In my familial relationships, I tended toward the second type. But by God’s grace, through continual self-improvement and involvement with Dads4Kids and the Men’s Leadership Summit, I’ve thankfully learned a better way – the Third Way, as Ward calls it. He elaborates:
“The Third Way Man lives a life of benevolent power: for his own sake, and the sake of those he serves. He is High Strength, High Love. He is the full package.”
Dads4Kids and the Men’s Leadership Summit are deeply committed to helping all men discover this Third Way. We talk about “excellence in fathering” or “leading in love” – both describe the optimal life of a man high in strength and love.
The truth is, men are created to fully embrace their God-given masculinity, lead in love, and dedicate their lives to the service of others. This is the way, as the Mandalorians would say.
2025 Men’s Leadership Summit
At the 2025 Men’s Leadership Summit, you’ll hear from four incredible speakers, including Danny Abdallah, Andrew Gray, Paul Ninnes, and Dads4Kids founder and co-CEO, the wonderful Warwick Marsh. Last year, Paul shared an inspiring message on defeating giants and developing a stout heart (check out the video below). 2025 promises to be our best Summit yet!
Just like the young David who stood up to face Goliath all those years ago, we too can make a stand. Choose to stand for what you believe in – for your family and your community. Stand for the better way, lead in love, and see what happens.
As the great Billy Graham said:
“Courage is contagious. When a brave man takes a stand, the spines of others are often stiffened.”
Lovework
Whether you’re a young man or an older man, a dad, a son, a grandad, or an uncle, make plans to attend the 2025 Men’s Leadership Summit. All men are welcome – we’d love for you to join us!
Just as the men of Israel and their families stood before the Lord their God thousands of years ago, so do we – “that He may establish you today as a people for Himself, and that He may be God to you” (Deuteronomy 29:13). Our prayer at Dads4Kids is that the 2025 Men’s Leadership Summit will help establish and encourage you in your walk with God.
Yours for standing,
Nathaniel Marsh
