Dr Debbie Garratt
Dr Debbie Garratt (PhD) has more than 30 years of diverse professional experience across health, adult education and counselling sectors. She is currently practicing as a clinical supervisor for mental health staff, counsellors, health professionals and psychologists. Debbie's community work educates, consults and supports professionals working with women and families experiencing challenges during pregnancy and parenting. This includes education on the issue of abortion and was the subject of her PhD research. Her doctoral thesis was in 'Alarmist Gatekeeping', a theory of discourse strategies that manipulate and control and observable in most topical/controversial discussions.
