Stephanie Bastiaan is Head of Advocacy at Women’s Forum Australia.
A former freelance writer and editor, she has become one of the organisation's leading public voices on issues affecting women and girls, appearing regularly across national media to speak on single-sex sport, child protection, women's safety, and the integrity of sex-based categories in Australian law. Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Communications (Journalism) from Deakin University.

This week, Giggle v Tickle has gone back to the Federal Court before a full bench to appeal Justice Bromwich's federal court judgment handed down in August 2024. Sall Grover, CEO and founder of female-only networking app Giggle for Girls (Giggle), has been fighting to defend her decision to ban a biological male who identifies as a woman from her app for four years.
