I speak, of course, of WA Senator Fatima Payman and her newly announced Australia’s Voice party. Will Jews feel welcome in what must be seen as mainly a Muslim Party? What will the new political party’s position be on LGBTI issues and the like?

The Christian Friends of Israeli Communities Heartland organised a gathering on 5 October in Brisbane, Queensland. The event was to share an evening of remembrance and honour for our Jewish friends in Australia, Israel and worldwide, torn apart by the horror of 7 October 2023.

The Word clearly tells us how to speak about leaders, and claiming that Jesus used insulting, coarse or even vulgar language when speaking about Herod is just an excuse for our own carnality. 

Take away the history of a people or a culture or a nation, and you effectively take away the people, the culture, and the nation. We are today what has gone before in our past. Being unmoored from our own past makes us quite vulnerable.

We must redouble our commitment to the family – especially fathers – as a lynchpin of Christian training. Children who lack a stable sense that theirs is a Christian household are most vulnerable to drifting away from the Church.

There is a lot to learn about the number 5 from a Jewish and Biblical perspective. In March 2025, we will step into 5950 according to the Essenes. This is a Jubilee year – a year of double 5, double grace, double breath of the spirit to behold, a time when slaves are ordained to be set free.

As disciples of Christ, we are called to partner with God’s best purposes for life. By fortifying our will with a powerful why, we set ourselves on a path towards victory.

The words that have been resounding in my spirit for months have been “sovereignly orchestrated” and “divine intervention”. Take courage. God can reach a dying individual and world.

Repentance is a gift! It sets us free from all sin by its ongoing transformational power.

To live a life of sexual integrity, we must train ourselves in two areas: our eyes and our mind.
