Political commentator Curt Weldon said, “The mainstream media has its own agenda. They do not want to print the facts. They have an agenda, they have a slant, they have a bias.” We all know this to be the truth, so how do we find out what is actually happening and who should we listen to discover the truth? Especially when it comes to America and the recent Trump election.

Well, all I can say is, thank God for Dr Victor Davis Hanson. He has written dozens of books and originally was a voting Democrat, but who is he now? According to Wikipedia, Victor Davis Hanson (born 5 September 1953) is an American classicist, military historian, and conservative political commentator. He has been a commentator on modern and ancient warfare and contemporary politics for The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, National Review, The Washington Times, and other media outlets.

Hanson is a professor emeritus of classics at California State University, Fresno, the Martin and Illie Anderson Senior Fellow in classics and military history at the Hoover Institution, and visiting professor at Hillsdale College. He is neither hardcore right nor hardcore left.

Hanson’s main interest is history. Historians, by nature, have to be impartial, and they need to be well-read. Hanson is a scholar to the scholars, but at the same time, very accessible to the average punter. He is the best one I know! Check out his recent synopsis of the Trump Election below. I often call Trump an honest criminal. He can be crude, and he can be rude. The good news is what you see is what you get.  He doesn’t leave you guessing.

My American friends who love Trump and the Republicans often gasp with dismay at my comment. I am undeterred. You see, the problem is the other side of the political fence are dishonest criminals with extremely evil Machiavellian pathologies and policies.

Anti-Life

Can you believe that the Democratic Party at their National Convention allowed the set-up of a mobile abortion clinic? You could pop out of the morning session of the convention, kill your baby, and pop back in for the afternoon session and not miss a beat except for the heartbeat of your now-dead baby.

Presidential hopeful Kamala Harris boasted of her tour of abortion clinics and of her voting and advocacy for abortion up to birth. A good friend of mine in the pro-life movement sent me this video with this message:

“The Democratic Party are a demonic death cult under the power of Satan… I don’t see how you can be a Christian and vote for everything that God hates… It’s a vote between a non-Christian and an anti-Christian.”

You see, we are all fallen people living in a fallen world. As a matter of fact, I am one of those fallen people. My American friends at the election last week were voting for two imperfect people. The question was who was the less imperfect.

Honest Criminal

I have ministered in 22 jails across Australia, and I know criminals. I have had many current criminals and former criminals live with me in my own home with my family. I know the criminals I prefer. The honest criminals will protect you, and the dishonest criminals will put a knife in your back when you are not looking.

President Trump is an honest criminal who loves the Bible and loves Christians. See this video. The good news is Trump is an honest criminal, whom I believe is on a pathway of reform both personally, and nationally for his nation. Let us pray that he completes his journey.

While you are at it, please pray for me. I, too, am a sinner saved by grace. Hopefully, an honest criminal if you like. I too need prayer to finish my journey of reform. As the scripture says in Philippians 2:12, “Work out your own salvation in fear and trembling.” Let’s pray for Mr Trump to do the same!

President-elect Donald Trump needs Jesus! Only Jesus Christ is the answer for America and Australia. We need to keep on praying!
