DAY 6: Welcome the King of Kings
by Sue Tinworth, Partners in Prayer and Evangelism
Intention
Welcoming the King of Glory into our families, regions and our nation’s governance.
Scripture
“It is a day of darkness and gloom, a day of thick clouds and deep blackness. Suddenly, like dawn spreading across the mountains, a great and mighty army appears. Nothing like it has been seen before or will ever be seen again.” – Joel 2:2
“Look at you now—arising as the dayspring of the dawn, fair as the shining moon. Bright and brilliant as the sun in all its strength. Astonishing to behold as a majestic army waving banners of victory.”—Song of Songs 6:10
Reflection
Watchmen across Australia are reporting evidence of a sovereign move of God: armies of angelic hosts assembling on the high places, signs and wonders, and a rapid surge in united prayer, evangelism and salvations. Our praise and worship welcome our King and align us to receive His Kingdom breakthrough.
You are all gatekeepers in your family, household, neighbourhood, workplace and region. It is vital you declare to all who hear you, that the sovereign reign of the King of Glory is welcome in your sphere of influence!
“Welcome the King of Glory, for he is about to come through you… the Lord, armed and ready for battle, the Mighty One, invincible in every way! So wake up, you living gateways, and rejoice! Fling wide, you ageless doors of destiny! Here he comes; the King of Glory is ready to come in… He is the Lord of Victory, armed and ready for battle, the Mighty One, the invincible commander of heaven’s hosts! Yes, he is the King of Glory!”—Psalm 24:7-10
The prophets warn us that Australia has missed other conditional opportunities because the voices of the gatekeepers were silent. We have a responsibility to discern our Father’s will and speak and vote according to His leading. If the Church is sleepy and disunited, we may miss our opportunity to disciple our nation and see Australia’s reformation and transformation.
Please invest the time to grasp what Adam Thompson has said to the Australian Church and the global significance of this time, unpacked by Dutch Sheets—made available in the video at the end of this devotion.
“I will keep interceding until her righteousness breaks forth like the blazing dawn and her salvation like a burning torch… Pass through the gates and go from old to new. Prepare a new path for the people. Build! Build up a highway for them to come to me! Remove every hindrance and unfurl a banner for the nations.”—Isaiah 62:1,10
If we align as one with our Father—as His family and as His ecclesia in our gateways—God’s mercy and love will overflow to those around us. God’s people, standing as one in Christ, will be visible as one body and heard speaking with one voice in our municipalities, cities and states across the Australian Commonwealth.
And we will see God turn back this tidal wave of evil and establish His governance—His Kingdom on earth through us.
“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.”—Isaiah 60:1-3
On the 17th May, Pastor Margaret Court and many of our nation’s Christian leaders and prayer leaders are calling Australians to gather in praise and worship the evening before the election for a night of Combined Church Prayer and Worship. I’d like to take this opportunity to encourage you to gather the people in your networks to get together and hold a Combined Church Praise and Worship Night to declare that God is on the throne in our nation. Register for this event and find out more about an online overnight prayer vigil to make use of as part of your night.
Prayer
Declare aloud, “Lord, we worship You—our glorious, good and faithful, all powerful King of Kings who fights our battles for us! You have made a way for us to live in eternal and abundant life! Father, we align with your will on earth as in heaven. Jesus, we welcome you as the King of Glory who has come. Establish the reign of Your Kingdom in us and in our spheres of influence! Holy Spirit, make us one with You and each other so the world will know how much you love them.”

Prayer Points
1. Pray that God would rule over this election so that righteous leaders would be elected to govern this nation in truth and justice because, “When the righteous are in authority the people rejoice.” (Proverbs 29:2)
2. Pray God’s blessing upon all our current parliamentarians and leaders, including their families and all the candidates of all the parties standing for this federal election. (1 Timothy 2:1-3)
3. Pray for a multiplication of prayer and unity across the Body of Christ in Australia that people will wake up to the dangers facing our nation and respond in prayer. (Ephesians 5:14)
4. Pray for a Spiritual Awakening for Australia, Revival and Transformation for our nation and the proclamation of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. (John 3:16)

We don't talk about social atomisation, do we? Most of us would be hard pressed to define it. Yet it is reshaping our society in ways we barely acknowledge — fragmenting our communities, eroding our connections, and leaving us isolated in the midst of billions.

In countries with voluntary organ donation systems, patients wait months or years for a transplant. In China, hospitals guarantee matching organs within weeks. That statistical impossibility reveals a horrifying truth: China operates an industrial-scale organ harvesting operation — with the tacit complicity of the Western world.

The Church is wimpy, and it's destroying the nation. That's the blunt assessment of Rev. Chris Wickland, a UK clergyman who refuses to soften the gospel for perceived cultural acceptance. And he has a point. From the rise of "woke" institutional Christianity to the abdication of prophetic witness, the modern Church has traded its backbone for a desperate attempt to attain a disappearing seat at the table.

” If the Church is sleepy and disunited, we may miss our opportunity to disciple our nation and see Australia’s reformation and transformation”. True, may we instead be watchful and united and sharing Christ’s love. thanks for those words Sue.
Good words Sue. May we instead be watchful and united and sharing Christ’s love.
All who desire a God Fearing Nation in Australia need to join the call to sign the Canberra Declaration.
