Intention
God provides a solution in His Word for physical and spiritual drought in Australia, supporting His destiny for this beloved nation.

Scripture
Then the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him: ‘I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice. When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, if My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place”.
~ 2 Chronicles 7:12-15

Reflection
Today’s Scripture is God’s remedy for any person and a sick nation.

In God’s eyes, Australia’s earliest Godly roots established a nation comparable to His “house of sacrifice” under Solomon. The Living God was to be worshiped fully in this nation. Australia was to be a model to other nations in the Great South Lands of the Holy Spirit and all over the planet. This destiny was furthered when brave Australians helped liberate Israel in 1917.

Knowing the nation, like ancient Israel, would become worldly and there would be a falling away from Him He tells us in His Word what He will do, and He has now done it: “When I shut up heaven and there is no rain…

In verses 12-13 we read that the Lord appeared to Solomon in the night and said to him, “I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a house of sacrifice. When I shut up heaven so there is no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people…

As in many nations, Australia has experienced cyclones, earthquakes, fires and floods which God has allowed to wake up His nation. He wishes to see Australia again filled with His people called by His name, coming together in love to make the nation His “house of sacrifice.”

Instead, as in my nation and many other nations, there has been a turning from God, and we are guilty of national sins. We are worshipping other gods, including worshiping ourselves as god.

Abortion, euthanasia, idolatry, legalizing sexual perversions, teaching wickedness to our children, failing to stand 100% with Israel — all these are national sins.

The old verse “as for me and my house we will serve the LORD” now applies to nations. Who will we serve? The Lord gives us His Solution in 2 Chronicles 7:14. But will His people follow His Solution? Will we, one by one, truly repent, sincerely turning from ways that are worldly and wicked compared to His Way? He calls us to be holy as He is holy. Will we be zealous to repent? (Revelation 3:19)

With the indwelling Holy Spirit, we are each now a “house of sacrifice.” Will we sacrifice our own agenda and follow His? Will we die to self to take up His Cross? When we repent, we reject old sin patterns and we choose Him, becoming overcomers. As we come together, the entire nation can change its culture to become a national “house of sacrifice”, honoring Him through His Word fully.

This month of October 2019 is a test of Australia’s Destiny. Will we choose Him?

Prayer
Abba Father, in Jesus’ Holy Name, send the Mighty Wind of Your Holy Spirit to awaken, to convict, to teach, to comfort through Your Word, your people called by Your name in Your precious and unique nation of Australia. Bring a fresh wind of Truth through a new passion for Your Word as Your Solution to this horrific drought, a physical and a spiritual drought, so similar to natural disasters in other nations. May this fresh wind of Your Spirit and Word cleanse Your Bride, reviving this brave nation and blessing it as Australia fulfills Your Destiny. May Your Kingdom come. May Your will be done in Australia at this critical time in the nation’s history. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
