39 Days of Mercy: Day 2 – In Christ
Our Position in Christ — We are adopted sons and daughters
All followers of Christ are given a privileged place – adopted into God’s family through the Spirit of Jesus, His Son. (Romans 8:15)
Jesus said:
“For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received a spirit of adoption. When we cry, ‘Abba! Father.’”
~ Mark 14:36
Today, it is out of our intimate relationship with our Father that we intercede for the life of the unborn and for the fathers of Australia.
We come to our heavenly Father, trusting Him Who is Love, and boldly ask for those things that seem impossible because our Father is El Shaddai (God the Almighty, All Sufficient God, God of the Mountain, God the destroyer of our enemies, God the Nurturer of Babies).
Worship:
Watch:
We pray for the fathers of this nation, who have a vital role to play in restoring righteousness.
- Pray for fathers to have fresh revelation of the heavenly Father’s heart of love, and to encounter Jesus who is the exact representation of the Father. May the spirit of Elijah flood our nation according to Malachi 4:6 “He will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, so that I will not come and smite the land with a curse.”
- Healing for the hearts and minds of the fathers of our unborn – the wounds and lack of knowing a father — be ministered to by the Lord
- May we create a culture where fathers that are honoured, respected and loved, so they break the cycle of ‘not wanting to grow up’ and are helped to step into their God-given role and responsibility. That they be effective fathers representing our Heavenly Father.
- May all fathers take hold of the revelation that children are a blessing from God.
- Pray for courage that all the fathers in Australia use their voices to say ‘no to abortion’.
- For those who perform or assist with abortions: Grace to repent and receive forgiveness & mercy. May they become great advocates for saving the unborn.
- Pray for the ‘father hearts’ for all those in positions of authority and influence – To protect children and provide pathways of preserving life for the yet-to-be-born.
- Thank our Father for giving His Son, so we might not perish but have eternal life.
May this be accessible to all who are conceived in this great land. - Pray for fathers to come into understanding and knowledge of the effect abortion has on all involved – Cause them to be passionate pro-life voices in our nation.
- Ask the Father who created adoption and so tenderly embraces us through His son Jesus, to also create many loving adoptions for unplanned babies in our nation.
Spend time today listening to our Father — hear what is on His heart concerning abortion in our nation.
May you experience our Father’s pleasure over you today as you fast & pray.
His mercy endures forever!
Today we stand together as one in prayer and fasting for grace to:
- STOP the Greens Abortion Reform Bill from being passed in South Australia’s Parliament.
- Bring radical amendments to the existing Abortion Law in favour of life for the unborn and safeguards for mothers.
- Push Back and eventually STOP Abortion in every state and territory in Australia.
- SHIFT the culture of this Nation to the Kingdom of Heaven with Mercy, Peace, Righteousness and Justice on earth as it is in Heaven.
