39 Days of Mercy: Day 37 – Aroma of the Victory

The Aroma of the Victory

God always makes His grace visible in Christ, who includes us as partners of His endless triumph. Through our yielded lives, He spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere we go. We have become the unmistakable aroma of the victory of the Anointed One to God —a perfume of life to those being saved, and the odour of death to those who are perishing. The unbelievers smell a deadly stench that leads to death, but believers smell the life-giving aroma that leads to abundant life. And who of us can rise to this challenge? For unlike so many, we are not peddlers of God’s Word who water down the message. We are those sent from God with pure motives, who speak in the sight of God from our union with Christ.”
~ 2 Corinthians 2:14-17 TPT

The Holy Spirit empowers each of us to do the ministry of Christ on the earth in these days.
He includes us as partners of His endless triumph.

There is an unmistakable aroma of victory of the Anointed One to God! We smell like the Victory of Christ – we smell amazing to the Father – just like fragrances remind us of people and places – the aroma of the victory of His Son Our Lord Jesus.

He willingly went to the cross and descended into hell, and triumphed over our enemies — death and Hades! We smell like death to those who are trapped in unbelief, who refuse to say yes to following the King. We long for them to turn, and say yes and believe in the Lord Jesus, and be saved, as the Anointed One longs for them.

We come under a reverence for the Lord, and allow Him to shift and shake from us any impure motives and mindsets that are not of the Kingdom, so we can speak boldly in the sight of God, because we are united with Christ! We bring Him glory as we partner with His endless triumph, refusing to let go, give up or deny Him — as He was willing to suffer and die to self — to be alive in Christ.

We are now living in days that are so challenging, yet we remain in His love, joyful and fragrant — this empowerment is available to every believer. Let us lean into our Beloved, and receive His grace that causes us to go beyond where we have been before, to seek His face and to make His grace visible through our yielded lives.

This is not a time to be a passive bystander, but to take up the challenge (our cross) and follow Him in everything we say and do. May His life-giving aroma flow from us to those being saved – especially to those in the womb who are in danger of being aborted. To those trapped into thinking they need a way of escape from an unplanned pregnancy. To the multitudes being seduced into deception and idolatry of self.

May the words of Jesus be for those who are giving their time, intercession and finance into the pro-life movement be for us — He said,

“And the King will answer them, ‘Don’t you know?
When you cared for one of the least important of these my little ones,
my true brothers and sisters, you demonstrated love for Me.’
Matthew 25:40 TPT

The Aroma of Life

We need grace for the vision of the Church to fulfill the call to go! It’s going to get messy and it’s going to mean stepping out of the boat onto the sea of humanity where Jesus is! To walk by faith in His word spoken to our hearts. We ask the Lord to give us grace to fulfill our part in the pro-life movement in this nation and across the nations, as we recognize the need all around us, the need for facilities and families to bring the hope, help and Gospel to those facing an unwanted pregnancy.

The Lord will raise up His people to carry His reconciliation and restoration; He has anointed us!

Prayer: 1 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual] captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound,

2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord [the year of His favour] and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,

3 To grant [consolation and joy] to those who mourn in Zion—to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment [expressive] of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit—that they may be called oaks of righteousness [lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God], the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.

4 And they shall rebuild the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former desolations and renew the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations.

5 Aliens shall stand [ready] and feed your flocks, and foreigners shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.

6 But you shall be called the priests of the Lord; people will speak of you as the ministers of our God. You shall eat the wealth of the nations, and the glory [once that of your captors] shall be yours.

7 Instead of your [former] shame you shall have a twofold recompense; instead of dishonor and reproach [your people] shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double [what they had forfeited]; everlasting joy shall be theirs.

8 For I the Lord love justice; I hate robbery and wrong with violence or a burnt offering. And I will faithfully give them their recompense in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant or league with them.

9 And their offspring shall be known among the nations and their descendants among the peoples. All who see them [in their prosperity] will recognize and acknowledge that they are the people whom the Lord has blessed.

10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul will exult in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

11 For as [surely as] the earth brings forth its shoots, and as a garden causes what is sown in it to spring forth, so [surely] the Lord God will cause rightness and justice and praise to spring forth before all the nations [through the self-fulfilling power of His word]. Amen. (Isaiah 61 AMPC)

Prayer for the elected Members of Parliament:
Today we pray for MLC Hon Mark Charles Parnell, member of Greens SA. We pray for Mark, that he would abandon the Greens’ dogma and vote against abortion to birth.
Today we pray for MLC Hon Irene Pnevmatikos, member of the Australian Labor Party. We pray for Irene that she will heed the millennia of Orthodox teaching against abortion, and so vote against the proposals.

Prayer Points:

  • Ask for a great awakening of the Church to hear the Lord and to obey His commands.
  • Lord, increase awareness and zeal for Your Church in SA to stand and ‘Walk for Life’ this Saturday 8th February, and as we pray and walk, let the Oneness and Love create and tear down, bringing Your kingdom presence into Adelaide and all of SA.

Spend time today listening to the Lord, and pray what is on His Heart.

His mercy endures forever!

Today we stand together as one in prayer and fasting for grace to:

  • STOP the Greens Abortion Reform Bill from being passed in South Australia’s Parliament.
  • Bring radical amendments to the existing Abortion Law in favour of life for the unborn and safeguards for mothers.
  • Push Back and eventually STOP Abortion in every state and territory in Australia.
  • SHIFT the culture of this Nation to the Kingdom of Heaven with Mercy, Peace, Righteousness and Justice on earth as it is in Heaven.

[Walk for Life]
Saturday 8th February 2020, 9.30 – 11.30 a.m., Victoria Square. [see guidelines here]

After an unexpected consultation with SAPOL and Adelaide City Council, including the Horticultural Manager, it was decided that to cater for expected larger numbers to this event,
the Walk for Life will need to commence at a different location.
The Walk for Life will now start at Pennington Gardens, King William Rd,
opposite St Peter’s Cathedral (north-eastern side of Adelaide Oval).

The Walk will then proceed south down King William Rd to Parliament House.
The length of the walk is roughly the same.

Free parking available!
