The Tide is Turning as We Pray
As Australia’s moral foundation continues to shake, it is our joy and duty to pray continuously for our country and its leaders and people.
But to shift a nation’s destiny, our prayers must be greater than individual supplication. We must join together in corporate agreement. In the midst of extremist views and divisive rhetoric, the tide is turning as the Ekklesia of God rise with a united voice on behalf of our nation.
Particularly at this time for the unborn, in dire danger of the radical abortion bills that have swept Australia, the tide is turning from the Church, seeming to be a voice lost amongst today’s social narrative of loud shouts of – Our choice, our rights, our way or no way!
The Ekklesia’s united voice has the roar of Heaven behind us!
A Huge Thank You for Your Prayers and Action
“We feel a personal responsibility to continually be thanking God for you, our spiritual family, every time we pray. And we have every reason to do so because your faith is growing marvelously beyond measure. The unselfish love each of you share for one another is increasing and overflowing!”
~ 2 Thessalonians 1:3 (TPT)
We thank God for all who heard and answered the call to pray and fast over the 39 Days of Mercy. This essential daily prayer contained several strategic prayer outlines that were and can still be used for effective corporate intercession, prophetic perspective on our national crisis, and the current mandate of the Church.
South Australia asked the nation to stand with them and pray, and it resulted in increased effectiveness of prayer as tens of thousands joined their voices to help in the fight to stop the SA abortion bill to full term. To those who interceded for the Walk for Life and the 39 Days of Mercy, Heaven has heard and freedom for the unborn is the answer – a turning of the tide away from the shedding of innocent blood.
Every year abortion is taking the lives of thousands of babies, and women are suffering through guilt, shame, depression and mental torment. Those who make abortion only a health issue, with ideals and language, are ignoring those who have already paid a very high price.
“Walk in love, as Christ also has loved us.”
~ Ephesians 5:2 NKJV
On Saturday, Adelaide experienced a gathering of pro-life advocates streaming through the city, displaying a purposeful message of unity and strength in the bid to stop the upcoming Abortion Bill in the SA Parliament.
Approximately 3500 people of every age, ethnicity and denomination marched — including those who simply passionately believe that to decriminalize abortion is dangerous to women and certain death to countless full-term babies. They held posters with slogans such as ABORTION TO BIRTH NOT IN SA, PRO LIFE PRO WOMAN PRO CHILD, LOVE THEM BOTH, & CHOOSE LIFE.
It was a peaceful protest against upcoming abortion law reforms: in particular, abortion up to birth.
It was a truly inspiring event, and the obvious love and compassion to help women and protect the most defenseless of human beings was awe-inspiring.
Throughout the 39 Days of Mercy, Australia as a nation also was undergoing severe drought and ravaging bushfires, with tragic outcomes for many. However, even the mainstream media reported an atheist’s prayer was miraculously answered, and countless homes and properties mercifully saved. We cried out for MERCY, and witnessed the true spirit of community and camaraderie arise, and the courage and tenacity of real-life heroes in our communities.
During the 39 Days, I received many encouraging emails, thankful for the emails — including some from Europe and USA expressing that they were standing with our nation, and us, as we interceded and their gratitude for the daily email inspiration.
Together as we prayed, we discovered and actioned key prayer strategies for lasting national change. We engaged in corporate repentance. We understood a prophetic charge to the Ekklesia of God to move from disappointment and feeling powerless, to wielding God’s word powerfully and decreeing righteousness and justice.
Truth and light have gone forth into the halls of Parliament, and to those who need wisdom, to lead our nation beyond the senseless destruction of the unborn to the way of life — may we see lasting fruit!
May the Lord bless you greatly, and release to you much joy and strength in all you do for Him – May His kingdom come on earth as it is in Heaven!
