Days of Holiness ~ Day 7: Holy Fire and Heaven’s Mercy

7 January 2021

4.1 MINS

This call to prayer is a call to holiness. We are holy because God is holy and He has given us His Holy Spirit. There is the fullness of time coming when we will see a showdown on the high places like in the days of Elijah, when the Holy fire of God will again be proven on earth.

Heaven is full of Mercy, and God’s mercy is new on earth for each of us every morning. We are so thankful that we worship a merciful, forgiving, God of restoration — He also is righteous and just.

The prophet in Isaiah 28:21 describes God’s work of judgment as strange or foreign to what He delights in doing:

The Lord Yahweh will suddenly arise
as on Mount Perazim and in the valley of Gibeon.
He arises to accomplish his strange work—peculiar as it is—
His strange work of judgment?

God is love and longs to pour out His love upon His people — those He has chosen and established as His own. Yet God is holy, and although in mercy He may delay judgment, He will judge His people. To see God’s work of judgment as strange (alien) is to understand that Heaven’s default is always mercy.

“… and remember that judgment is merciless for the one who judges others without mercy. So by showing mercy you take dominion over judgment!”
~ James 2:13 (TPT)

We are in days where there has been a systematic change of legislation, state after state, to ‘modernise’ abortion laws to include up to birth, and even allow sex-selection abortions and babies born alive through failed abortion to die.

South Australia is now facing this legislation in the Lower House early in February after the Upper House passed the Termination of Pregnancy Bill 2020. Most Australians, even Christians, do not even know these types of bills are being passed or the consequences they have for future generations. Much is said about women’s rights and choice, but in reality, there is little or no counselling or offers of help besides aborting their baby. Post-abortion grief is very real.

Let’s Pray:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your great mercy that we receive anew every morning. Lord, thank You that You are holy and there is a time for Your judgement that comes to realign the unholy ways that bring death and destruction. Lord, help us to be merciful people, and show mercy, so that we can take dominion over judgement.

Lord, help us to never be deceived into believing the works of the enemy are Your judgement, and help us to never align with the ways of this world in taking Your mercy for granted. Lord, we ask to be yoked to You Lord Jesus, to learn from You — we ask that we be set free from our judgmental ways, but at every opportunity mercifully speak words of life.

Thank You for the instruction of Your word — may we continue to listen and learn from You, having the mind of Christ operating in us as we look at the hard issues confronting Your people in these days. You said there is a wide path that leads to destruction and many travel on it, and a narrow path few find.

Lord, in Your mercy, may we Your people, who are called by You, be willing to go to greater lengths to find Your path of holiness that leads to empowerment to have dominion over judgement. Lord, prepare us Your holy nation to be ready and alert in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

To send the intended influential message to our politicians
that South Australians DO NOT want legalised abortion up to birth,
we need thousands of people on the WALK for LIFE!

It will take each of us to SPREAD THE WORD through all our networks!

YOUR INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN:
SORRY SA DAY
JANUARY 8th, 2021

As an expression of care, love, and respect for all who have been harmed by abortion law changes designed to protect the abortion industry and not women, you are invited to participate in SORRY SA
DAY by simply placing flowers on the steps of Parliament House North Terrace Adelaide on Friday January 8th, 2021, any time from 6:00am to 6:00pm.

Please consider the forgotten ones, including:

  • The unborn
  • Mothers that are grieving, for example:
    • Women pressured into abortion
    • Women that have been lied to
    • Women who have lost their lives and health because of abortion
(Serious bleeding, infection, clots etc. can and do still occur regardless
      of legality)
  • Fathers and others who wanted to care for these children, but were not given a
    chance to.
  • Medical professionals who have been traumatised by their involvement with
    abortion.
  • All who are discriminated against due to their skin colour, gender, health, and
    various other circumstances.

Every abortion detrimentally affects more than one life, and our laws should protect those that DO NO HARM instead of an industry that financially benefits by doing great harm.

TRUE LOVE CONQUERS ALL

*Over 220,000 unborn children in South Australia have tragically lost their lives due to law changes which occurred 51 years ago. One abortion can and does adversely affect many lives.
