Days of Holiness ~ Day 14: One Smooth Stone
Today I read that the number of abortions worldwide in the first ten days of 2021 amounted to more than 1.1 million according to the W.H.O. statistics. Abortion continues to be the largest cause of death worldwide: 125,000 abortions each day.
Leaning into the Holy Spirit at this horrific news, I was reminded that the whole Israelite army were looking across at the giant Goliath in fear, not stepping up, but intimidated by his enormity. The Lord spoke to my heart — “it only took one smooth stone backed by the Living God to bring that giant down, and a small boy to kill him with Goliath’s own sword!” David the young shepherd boy looked through the eyes of worship and his intimate knowledge of the Living God and, in His Name, he killed the most powerful destroyer of his day.The small smooth stone the Lord is using today through us His Holy Nation is forgiveness. Today as we sit with the Lord and pray, let us together with the indwelling Spirit of Holiness, bring this multifaceted tragedy of abortion to the Lord in the aspect of forgiving.
The list is innumerable whom we need to forgive — yet, if we each bring what is in our hearts to Him and forgive, then we also are forgiven our sins. Corporately as we are doing this, in the heavens a shift takes place — together we will find that we are lifted into a higher place of seeing others through God’s eyes of compassion, and we will become empowered with greater effectiveness in our prayer of intercession.
Let us go deep and allow our hearts to be open before our holy loving Father, at His throne of grace, and allow Him to show us whom to forgive. Some may be those who first opened the abortion gate to our nation; it may be the medical practitioners, lawmakers, those intentionally pushing a narrative to young minds in schools and universities; those choosing to abort, even ourselves for having had an abortion, or advised others to have one, or not having been aware of abortions around us; those operating in control, those manipulating the vulnerable… the list goes on.
Forgiveness is not in any way saying the perpetrators of evil and their actions are right or what has been done is ok, but letting God have His way. Let us remember forgiveness is a choice, not an emotion — we can choose to obey the Lord and forgive others and therefore come out of our own prison of unforgiveness.
Jesus made it very clear:
“And when you pray, make sure you forgive the faults of others
so that your Father in Heaven will also forgive you.
But if you withhold forgiveness from others,
your Father withholds forgiveness from you.”
~ Matthew 6:14 -15 (TPT)
Let Us Pray:
Heavenly Father, we join with our wonderful King Jesus in saying the words He offered up to You in prayer for us all.
While they were nailing Jesus to the cross,
He prayed over and over,
“Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they’re doing.”
~ Luke 23:34
Thank You that we are forgiven today as we forgive others — praise You, that the power of Your blood cries out mercy over all. Lord, grant us release from prisons of unforgiveness and judgement. Help us to offer the gift of forgiveness to all those involved in legalised and other abortion in Australia, right from the beginning, and those who have allowed this to happen.
We even ask for grace to forgive ourselves in any way needed. We choose to step out of being judge and ask for Your mighty hand to move on behalf of the unborn in our nation. We ask that these prayers of forgiveness be written in the books in Heaven and brought forth as a testament against the destroyers of the unborn.
Father, may it be that when anyone prays to You who has found themselves with an unplanned pregnancy, that You will provide a way of escape and that the child live and not die — that they fulfill their allotted days to serve You. All these things we pray in Jesus’ mighty Name, Amen.

Abundant grace to you as we continue in prayer and fasting according to Mark 9:29 ~
He answered them, “This type of powerful spirit can only be cast out by fasting and prayer.”
Points for Prayer ~ pray for:
- South Australia’s Lower House politicians, that they be infused with truth and light for the sanctity of life – even of the unborn. Pray for a majority to vote no to this bill and take courage to defeat the Termination of Pregnancy Bill 2020 early this year!
- Those on the frontline preparing for the Walk for Life, February 6th 2021 in Adelaide, South Australia, for volunteers and marshalls, for no COVID before, during or after it.
- For our future generations to be rescued from the horror of death through abortion!
Let the spirit of adoption enter the hearts of those considering abortion,
to carry to full term and save their child’s life. - For greater numbers of believers in Jesus all over Australia and the South Pacific region to awaken to the battle and stand for life — to rise up in wisdom and courage to take action needed and speak for the voiceless.
- For the church to become a haven of hope and help for those with unplanned pregnancies.
To send the intended influential message to our politicians
that South Australians DO NOT want legalised abortion up to birth,
we need thousands of people on the WALK for LIFE!
It will take each of us to SPREAD THE WORD through all our networks!
