There are keys to knowing how to triumph in this fight for the vulnerable unborn.

“We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.”

As the mind of Christ rules our own thoughts, so His Kingdom is represented, not ours!

God is using these 21 Days of Justice and Mercy for us to us humble ourselves and allow the Holy Spirit to search our hearts and minds and to cleanse our lips, convicting us of any beliefs (false teaching) or carnal mindsets that we may have been operating through.

The Holy Spirit convicts us of any ungodly words we have spoken — such words do not assist in bringing forth triumph in this battle for the lives of the unborn. Today, let us choose to remain teachable, opening our hearts to His wonderful grace to help us. Let us be quick to repent and receive His blood cleansing and receive full reinstatement of our righteousness in Jesus.

God’s word is so powerful in prayer. The full armour (Ephesians 6) establishes us with His truth around us, salvation covering our minds, His shoes of the Gospel of peace — we are ready to wield His word sword in great precision and power by praying in the Holy Spirit.

“And the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.”
~ Ephesians 6:17b-18 (NKJV)

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your word being a light to our path, to help us persevere in the war against the shedding of innocent blood in our nation. We love Your Son Jesus, of Whom You say in Hebrews 1:8-9 (NKJV),

“But to the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever;
A sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of Your kingdom.
You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness;
Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions.”

Lord, pour out Your oil of gladness upon Your people and equip us afresh with the mind of Christ as we war against abortion. Lord, may we pray Your word for every woman and man contemplating aborting their child. May we wield powerful spiritual weapons to pull down strongholds of human reasoning, and destroy false arguments. May we capture peoples’ rebellious thoughts and have wonderful opportunities to teach them to obey You, Jesus.

Lord, may we move with compassion and pure love as You did with the woman caught in adultery (John 7:53) — how You, by the power of the Holy Spirit, convicted those who were about to murder her, then You restored the guilty woman, warning her to go and sin no more. What grace and mercy and a wonderful example of the power of the Holy Spirit convicting even without words.

Then as You spoke, a powerful restoration took place — Your justice and mercy were evident. May Your justice and mercy, wisdom and truth be fully established in these days over Your church, to rise in strength and love. In Your precious, powerful and redeeming name, Yeshua, Jesus our Lord, Amen.

Prayer Points

• Pray for the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord to move across our nation, bringing truth and conviction with love. Pray for the church to operate spiritual weapons to demolish human reasoning and the false arguments that call abortion women’s healthcare, and that dehumanise the unborn, totally ignoring their right to live.
• We pray for every state and territory of Australia to come together to stand for life! For hearts to be awakened and every Christian to rally to rescue the unborn as the church rises up to “Walk for Life Adelaide” on 11 February and “March for Life” Brisbane — date TBA, Mackay “March for the Babies” October, and for other states to join in and hold rallies or walks in their cities.

These three current Pro-Life Issues before Parliaments:

• Pray that the Human Rights (Children Born Alive Protection) Bill 2022 be passed speedily in 2023. This Bill will protect babies who are currently, in most states of Australia, being left to die after a failed abortion. This protection for such babies is currently law in New South Wales (2019) and South Australia (2021) as amendments to the state Termination of Pregnancy Acts. This Federal Bill, if passed, will make this legislation National. Pray for protection for the three Federal Senators Alex Antic (Liberal Party), Matthew Canavan (National Party) and Ralph Babet (United Australia Party) who presented this Bill on 30 November 2022.

• On 28 September 2022, the Federal Senate referred an Inquiry into Universal Access to Reproductive Healthcare (abortion) to the Senate Standing Committee on Community Affairs. This enquiry is all about broadening abortion access and entrenching it into federal law, possibly overriding state laws. Pray that the Lord stops this from occurring.

• The passing in South Australia of the Statutes Amendment (Loss of Fetus) Amendment Bill 2022. Presented by MLC Sarah Game (One Nation). This bill would acknowledge the loss of an in-utero baby due to a criminal act, such as assault of the mother or dangerous driving — offences in their own right. This Bill is about justice and recognition of a life lost. Sadly abortion is not recognised as a criminal offence, but this bill will for the first time recognise the personhood of the unborn child.

Pray that abortion will not increase in Australia. The ACT Government has announced it will provide free abortions from 2023. There are also calls for taxpayers to fund abortions nationwide, and for nurses to be allowed to give out abortion pills.
