Catch the Wave of God’s Spirit – Day 6

Intention

To live as one with Jesus and live like Him in this world.

Scripture

“And I continually long to know the wonders of Jesus more fully and to experience the overflowing power of His resurrection working in me. I will be one with Him in His sufferings and one with Him in his death. Only then will I experience complete oneness with Him in His resurrection from the realm of the dead.”

– Philippians 3:10–11 (TPT)

Reflection

Paul’s goal was to know Jesus so completely that he walked as one with Jesus in this life. In this new era, Jesus is compelling us to come into this complete unity with Him and therefore with each other.

To walk as one with Him, we must embrace His call of being crucified with Christ and also being raised with Him. We must embrace the wrestle of letting the old desires and self-life die. At the same time, the Lord is calling us to Himself to know our identity as sons and daughters, anointed kings and priests, raised up in the power of the Holy Spirit. Living as Christ on the earth.

While walking on the beach recently, the wind was blustery, blowing ferociously. The sand was blowing up, the grasses on the beach were blowing sideways and the waves were large and choppy. But the people on surf kites were out riding and jumping the waves, having a wonderful ride.

I sensed the Lord say,

My Spirit is blowing hard and fast in order to wake up my people and bring momentum to the move of My Spirit on the earth. Catch the wave!

In this time of incredible turmoil, if you are caught in the crash of the waves it could be treacherous and difficult to navigate. However, if you catch the wind of the Spirit, and surf above the waves, in the midst of the shaking and being tossed to and fro, you’ll have a wonderful time and release the Kingdom and His glory on the earth!

There is so much being shaken and we can feel tossed around, but the Lord is calling us to live above the turmoil. If we live fully entwined with Him and flowing in the power of the Spirit, we will stay above the strife and have the ability to rescue and bring life to the world around us.

Living as one with Jesus and living like Him in this world was Paul’s passionate pursuit. And in this new era, God is calling us to the same passionate pursuit.

“Now arise in the fullness of your union with the Lord.” (Philippians 4:1b TPT).

As we arise in our union with Christ, we arise into Luke 4:18 (TPT):

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon (you), and He has anointed (you) to be hope for the poor, freedom for the brokenhearted, and new eyes for the blind, and to preach to the prisoners, ‘You are set free!’…  to share the message of Jubilee, for the time of God’s great acceptance has begun.”

Prayer

Lord, thank you for calling us to a closer and closer walk with you. Fully entwine our life in you.

In Jesus’ name, I pray that the anointing of the Holy Spirit will blow around me, empowering me to know You through my deepening intimacy with Yourself.

I pray my life will be an advertisement of Your immense power as it works through me!

I pray I receive the mighty power that was released when God raised Christ from the dead (Eph 3:17–19).

Amen.
