Julia Gillard and a Drag Queen Launch the Yes Campaign in London
Don’t try and understand it.
Former Prime Minister Julia Gillard launched the ‘Yes’ campaign in London overnight as 160,000 expats began voting in the referendum.
Her speech was what you would have expected.
But I didn’t expect that the government’s campaign for an Indigenous Voice to Parliament, held at Australia House in London, would feature a Drag Queen singing John Farnham’s ‘You’re the Voice’.
Don’t try and understand it. There is no logical explanation.
They really are trying to get the ‘Yes’ vote down to below 20 per cent.
Oh, and if this is the new Welcome to Country, give me the old one every day of the week.
