21 days for life

Invitation to Join Us in 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting

20 January 2024

3.5 MINS

The Lord is on the move, accelerating the battle for life and blessing His people to have greater victories. “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9 NIV)

We have seen the army of God rising up strong in the past five years in the pro-life Christian battle for our precious unborn. There is a greater level of unity in the Body of Jesus Christ in our nation and across the earth. In Australia, we are seeing several states having rallies and Walks for Life!

In the streets of Adelaide, South Australia, over those five years alone, we have seen crowds totalling over 15,300 dedicated followers of Jesus (and others) dressed in white, walking, praying, and speaking up for those who are completely vulnerable and have no voice.

The manifold blessings from these gatherings are real, and they are part of the harvest through the faithful prayers of the Ekklesia, in union with the Holy Spirit, joining as one.

Bearing Fruit

We have seen many pro-life leaders and ministries emerge using their unique giftings and recognising the call of God in this issue. Politicians have taken notice of our strong, united Christian voice, and many have joined the cause.

We have seen politicians who legislated ‘abortion to birth’ who have been completely removed from their positions of political power and have lost their power to do evil.

Couples have met at the Walks for Life and married; babies were rescued for fostering and adoption; courage and healing began the process for broken women to speak up.

Many educational videos have been created, and an award-winning short film on post-abortion grief, I’ll Speak for You, was produced. This film has been acclaimed internationally and viewed on a massive scale worldwide!

Individuals also joined the battle for protecting life in the womb — giving their time, finances, and expertise! Everyone was blessed and changed through attending a Walk for Life and hearing testimonies of the truth. Churches and others have given generous donations and recognised the value of being a House of Refuge; Pregnancy Help Centres received greater resources of finance and gifted volunteers. This strength through blessings will not stop — the Ekklesia built by Jesus will prevail!

Pray and Fast Together

Then Jesus said to them (the scribes and Pharisees who were hindering others entering the Kingdom of God), “I ask you: Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath or to do evil, to save life or to destroy it?” (Luke 6:9 CSB) Here, we see to do good is to save life, and to do evil is to destroy life.

Our heavenly Father is so invested in human life that He sent His own Son, Jesus, to atone for the sins of humanity, and be life, truth and the only way to the Father for eternity. Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6 CSB)

Will you join countless others and commit to fast and pray for this cause which is so close to Our Father’s heart? “Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him.” (Psalm 127:3)

Every Life is a gift from Him for us to celebrate and bless!

There is deep darkness covering the earth and thick darkness around the people (Isaiah 60), so much so that the current worldview, having a seared conscience, sees killing the unborn as a right!

It is time for the Ekklesia (church) to arise and shine, to speak up and take action to protect the most vulnerable, the unborn. Jesus said in Matthew 16:18 (NKJV), “… on this rock (the revelation that Jesus is Messiah, the Son of God), I will build My church (Ekklesia), and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”

Reveal Christ

It is the unified body of Jesus Christ, that He has built, who will win this battle to tear down the high altars of the shedding of innocent blood in our nation.  We together are the hands and feet of Jesus — may we reveal Christ as a people who are moved with compassion and mercy for every woman carrying a child through any circumstance, and with love offer assistance, so every child may live and fulfil their God-given purpose!

May the Church be a House of Refuge, a light on a hill, giving light and truth on this crucial subject whilst forsaking our reputation of being those laying guilt through moral judgements. Rather, let our prayers be powerful to overcome the darkness and lies, and our actions bear much fruit.

For 21 days beginning January 21st, 2024, there will be daily prayers on the Love Australia Prayer Page and here on the Daily Declaration. Save this link to go in daily — set yourself a reminder. Several pastors and leaders across the nation have contributed to these daily prayer calls.

Let’s intercede for our nation – for the women in fear and at risk of having an abortion. For those suffering post-abortion trauma and grief, for the political battles for babies born alive, and for the multifaceted issue of abortion. Let us join heaven’s intercession, praying, “Father, forgive them.”

May mercy and compassion flow by the Holy Spirit from the innermost beings of every follower of Christ, that any pregnant woman who may be fearful would run to the church to find help and hope to raise or adopt out the child conceived.

These 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting for Compassion and Mercy will change us forever!
