Day 4 – Life, Not Destruction
You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
~ Psalm 91:5-6 (NKJV)
While walking around the block of the abortion clinic in Adelaide silently praying, I saw in the spirit, words written on the footpath, pointing to the buildings, that said “Death Camp.” This was several years ago, and I have never forgotten it! It felt horrific, like I was near Auschwitz concentration camp. I was in an Adelaide suburban street, but also in the vicinity of hidden, sudden destruction, where the silent screams are never heard as the lives of the unborn in the womb are taken.
A few months later, in Parliament, the SA government passed a bill that people are no longer permitted to speak to anyone about abortion, or pray even silently within 150 meters of all abortion clinics. Even though there was never any complaint of harassment – legislation was passed to forbid a problem that was non-existent.
Then, in February 2021 in Adelaide, the abortion-to-birth bill passed — it was shocking as the politicians and their supporters congratulated each other for collaborating to legalise the killing of unborn Australians. Babies given life by God, now cut short by man. Babies who could be capable of living outside the womb, independently from their mothers, yet laws passed to destroy them.
The Bible speaks in Psalm 91:6 about ‘the sudden destruction that lays waste at noonday’. The word destruction is Qeteb in Hebrew, meaning to ruin or cut off, referring to a sharp-teethed vicious destruction. The root word is Qoteb, which means extermination. Here in Psalm 91, the Psalmist prays to be safe and secure, hidden from this evil. Today, let us pray for those in the womb, the precious lives given by the Lord — that they will also be hidden and rescued from this demonic evil.
Worship:
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your word that invites us to remain safe and secure hidden in You. Today, we ask that You will extend Your powerful protection over those in the womb, throughout our nation. Lord Jesus, we pray Your powerful blood to cover the clinics and public hospitals across our nation, cleansing them, and in Your resurrection power, destroy death.
Lord, reveal Your truth to the hearts and minds of the women waiting for an abortion, and their partners; cause them to run into Your arms and find safety and the courage to instead raise the child, or give the child the gift of life through adoption. We bind every spirit of destruction and ask that you silence the tormentors, and destroy the destroying spirits!
Lord, shut down these death camps and raise up Houses of Refuge and Hubs of Love to rescue the unborn from this horror. Lord, we call forth an awakening in our land for multitudes to stand for the unborn — to come into an understanding and action — to be a part of Your hands and feet to turn back the tide of the innocent blood being shed. In the authority of Your precious and redeeming Name, Lord Jesus, Yeshua, we pray. Amen.
Prayer Points:
- Family and Marriage: Lord, we lift up our families and marriages in Australia to You. Strengthen the bonds between spouses, parents, and children. May our homes be filled with love, unity, and Your divine presence. Grant us wisdom, patience, and grace to navigate challenges and build strong, godly relationships (Ephesians 5:22-33; Colossians 3:18-21).
- Conviction and repentance to cause multitudes including politicians and abortion clinic staff and people to come into truth that every life is a gift, and every human being has worth and value to be protected and provided with their needs so they can fulfill their purpose.
- It is crucial for Australians to stand united and shout out for the Babies Born Alive through failed abortion to be given life-saving treatment and care and not left to die. Pray for the Senate to vote for the Babies Born Alive Bill. Senator Matt Canavan, Senator Ralph Babet and Senator Alex Antic have co-signed a bill to give babies born alive from abortion a right to life. No More Delay! Let this become a loud election issue for this government. Hear firsthand a midwife’s grief and a Born Alive after a failed abortion story.
- Pray the Love Adelaide — Walk for Life 2024 on Feb 10th from 10am-12pm will grow in momentum to double last year — that nothing will hinder the church standing against legalised abortion, to add their strength and support to end the abortion crisis in our nation and beyond. Pray for health for everyone, especially the overseas guest speaker, doors of favour to open, more volunteers for the walk and the weather to be favourable.
- We pray for every state and territory of Australia to recognise that every life is a gift from God — for the church to arise in the cause of defending life in the womb from the horror of abortion and come together to stand for life. For greater numbers to be in attendance at the “Walk for Life Adelaide” on 10 February 2024 and “March for Life” Brisbane — date TBA, Mackay “March for the Babies” October, “March for the Babies” Melbourne, Perth’s rally for Life in May, and for all Territories and States to join in and hold a Walk for Life in their city/region.
- Even though every state in Australia has changed Legislation to allow abortion up to birth, we can all work together to change such legislation. It’s all about numbers — Pray that we unify and work together to make abortion unthinkable in Australia. Pray for the number of awakened righteous politicians and leaders in every sphere of influence to increase, and be empowered and emboldened to change the laws and influence this generation with the truth about abortion.
- Ask for many more churches across the nation to be aware of the women in their midst who are suffering through having had an abortion. To have spiritual discernment to identify women with a crisis pregnancy who need the help, hope and love of Jesus to keep the baby or choose adoption into a loving home. That every church be a trusted place of mercy and compassion to be known and operating as Houses of Refuge for the unborn and families. For Hubs of Love to be established in every city and town in the nation.
‘And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.’
~ Galatians 6:9 (NKJV)
