Australia Implicated in U.S. Intelligence Efforts to Oust Trump
The CIA manipulated Australia’s spy agencies to help keep Donald Trump out of the White House in 2016, according to a shocking new report.
Australia’s spy agencies have been implicated in a complex plot by the United States Intelligence Community (IC) to illegally surveil associates of Donald Trump and frame him as a Russian asset in the lead-up to the 2016 election, according to a bombshell report published Monday.
Released by Public, the report alleges that Barack Obama’s CIA Director John Brennan identified 26 Trump contacts and deceptively presented them as espionage targets to the so-called “Five Eyes” alliance — the collective intelligence agencies of the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
“They were making contacts and bumping Trump people going back to March 2016,” a source close to the investigation told the report’s authors.
In espionage lingo, “bumping” means making contact with a target in a way that appears casual or coincidental, even though the true purpose is to gather intelligence or manipulate the target without raising their suspicion.
The use of Australian and other Five Eyes agencies to bump Trump contacts represents an apparent attempt by the Obama CIA to circumvent United States law.
“Doing so was illegal,” the report’s authors explain, “both because US law prohibits such intelligence gathering unless authorised by a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant and because the weaponisation of the IC for political purposes constitutes election interference.”
The Role of Australian Diplomat Alexander Downer
The new information contradicts long-standing claims by the U.S. government that its investigation into Trump was first triggered by unsolicited intel from Australian diplomat Alexander Downer.
If the new revelations are true, the reverse is the case: the Downer allegations were only made possible by the CIA first enlisting help from Australian spy agencies to surveil Trump’s associates ahead of 2016.
According to Public, the CIA then used the spying it had initiated to convince the FBI to conduct ongoing espionage against Trump and his allies as they fought to win the White House.
The rest is history: Thanks to intelligence leaks and a Trump-hostile media, the claim that Trump was an asset of Putin’s Russia haunted the former president throughout his four years in office.
Ultimately, the entire Russian collusion narrative was exposed as a sham by the Mueller Report and the subsequent Durham Report — but not before significant damage to Trump’s name had been done.

The shocking report, which was authored by independent journalists Michael Shellenberger, Matt Taibbi and Alex Gutentag, relied on the testimony of “multiple credible sources”.
Shellenberger and his colleagues did not state which of Australia’s spy agencies were involved, nor did they claim those agencies or Alexander Downer were aware they had been enlisted in the CIA-led plot.
The Reason Behind the Raid on Mar-a-Lago
However, they have made another bombshell allegation: that the FBI raid on Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in August 2022 was ordered in an effort to keep these revelations from the American public.
“Unknown details about the FBI’s investigation of the Trump campaign and raw intelligence related to the IC’s surveillance of the Trump campaign are in a 10-inch binder that Trump ordered to be declassified at the very end of his term, sources told Public and Racket,” they wrote.
“If the top-secret documents exist proving these charges, they are potentially proof that multiple US intelligence officials broke laws against spying and election interference.”
Shellenberger has since appeared in a television interview and confirmed that “there has been widespread speculation that this binder was the reason or a reason for the FBI raid of Mar-a-Lago”.
“If the FBI went to go get [the binder] in order to continue the cover-up of this information, that obviously adds an even more dramatic wrinkle to this,” he told Jesse Watters of Fox News.
“This is a huge, huge story,” Shellenberger added.
“I’ve been thinking about it. In the history of the United States of America have we ever had something like this, with the Intelligence Community weaponised against a political candidate, and using our foreign allies to do it.”
“I can’t think of a more important or dramatic story.”
Further reports are expected from Shellenberger and his colleagues in the coming days.

The Church is wimpy, and it's destroying the nation. That's the blunt assessment of Rev. Chris Wickland, a UK clergyman who refuses to soften the gospel for perceived cultural acceptance. And he has a point. From the rise of "woke" institutional Christianity to the abdication of prophetic witness, the modern Church has traded its backbone for a desperate attempt to attain a disappearing seat at the table.

What an incredible story of intrigue but with a final exposing the truth. It’s a shame Australia was used in the plot. It’s a reminder to pray for the Federal and state Governments on all levels and in all their communication. May God forgive such things occurring again. It seems to show too, that the state of ‘man’s heart is deceitful and wicked’ as Jeremiah says…May God help those in politics not to be used by others, and may God keep exposing cover ups and those things that are hidden. May God also help our nation have honest polling on election days without interference (That is so needed but a giant prayer request for this day and age we live in- the age of deceit)
I am hardly surprised when you look at the get out jail free card our poise and security services give Benbrika and the Islamist terroists they allow in this country to carry their jew hating extremism. This is truly a terrible indictment on our so called secret services. President Trump could be forgiven if he refuses to come to our rescue.
The implications of this are truly alarming: the entire intelligence community being, not just politicised, but weaponised by one party against the presidential candidate of another party. Unchecked, it effectively makes the intelligence community the actual ruling oligarchy.
And once empowered by one party, it would surprise if they didn’t come to realise that they really don’t need the political party which weaponised them in the first place. They can do it all on their own if and when they feel motivated to do so.
And just like those Democrats who are behind this, who had some mad delusion that they were “saving democracy”, the same delusion can just as quickly overtake the intelligence agencies.
