The Legacy Media is Almost Dead
More and more people are switching off the legacy media and getting their news elsewhere — and that’s great news for Australia.
When journalism is done well, journalists can help to safeguard our rights and liberties by investigating and reporting the truth. Sadly, too many media outlets end up being little more than mouthpieces of the establishment.
During COVID, the legacy media walked in lockstep with the absurd restrictions and mantras of state health departments. The evidence did not match the reporting from virtually any of these outlets.
It’s become acceptable to criticise the restrictions now, but when they were in full swing, very few people whose job is to keep the public informed commented on the obvious absurdity. Only now that it is socially safe to do so have, they begun to come out of the woodwork.
If Labor’s “Combatting Misinformation and Disinformation” Bill is passed, there will be financial penalties for opposing the “current thing” online. Once again, there doesn’t seem to be many in the media who are concerned about the government limiting the once-cherished principle of freedom of speech. Has mainstream news ever felt less relevant?
Picking Up the Slack for the Legacy Media
These outlets love to tout the virtues of democracy, except when people who don’t share their narrow ideologies win. That’s why more people are switching the legacy news media off and getting their news elsewhere.
Throughout the pandemic period, many journalists working for these platforms did little more than provide a running commentary on the press releases of Health Departments all over the country. Is it any wonder that people are switching off?
The narrow ideological focus of such outlets is part of the reason I say what I say in Parliament and what I write. As an elected representative for South Australians, I see it as my duty to tell the truth because there are many quiet Australians who feel that their voices are not being heard, and whom the mainstream media and political establishment continues to gaslight and alienate.
Keep an eye out for more of my Senate speeches. In some sense, by voicing the perspectives of the quiet Australians, I’m doing the media’s job for them.

Bishop Fulton Sheen argued Communism and capitalism share a common root—materialism divorced from morality. That affinity, this piece argues, explains China's persecution of Christians today.

Dear Alex, thank you for all your work as a great journalist. The challenge is that you do your work from conviction, the legacy media do their ‘work’ for their pay cheque and sacrifice any of their convictions.
As Xi Van Fleet explains in her book “Mao’s America ” we are now moving towards a new Dark Age , ie of Communism and Social Credit with the loss of Truth and our Freedoms. Our journalists are now nothing , but, propagandists for our government’s projected Globulist New World Order which is aided by importing about 600, 000 people a year from mainly Third World countries who do not speak English , are not Christian , but, come from dictatorships and do not understand the value of retaining our Constitution.
Thank you Senator Alex for your strong stance on truth! if that misinformation bill does pass then look out 2025! Bill Gates and the WHO team have already named the next pandemic (SEERS) and have told us the date it’s coming (2025) and they are currently producing an mRNA vaccine for this proposed virus!!
