‘Mass Reporting’ Victim Dr Joanna Howe to Challenge Woke Workplace Harassment

Family First is backing Dr Joanna Howe’s fight against left-wing lawfare.

The Australian pro-life party made the announcement in a 5 July press release.

Giving reasons for their support, party director Lyle Shelton said that pro-life advocates should be free from the persecution of anti-life activists.

A pro-life professor of law at Adelaide University, Dr Howe has faced six internal investigations since 2019.

Each investigation was in response to external complaints about her integrity and academic conduct.

Despite the hater-harassment, she’s been cleared six times.

Although cleared of any wrongdoing in the latest round of activist accusations and integrations, the University has requested the Oxford-educated jurist undergo ‘anti-bias’ training.

This being the equivalent of a Marxist ‘struggle session’, Dr Howe is refusing to comply.

Fed up with constant Woke workplace harassment, she’s now taking Adelaide University to the Fair Work Commission.

Fighting Back

Sharing The Australian’s coverage in a post on X, Dr Howe asked,

“If radical left-wing activists can weaponise university complaints systems, then how is academic freedom protected?

“Academics like me, who question the orthodoxy of the radical left, are under constant scrutiny.”

Dr Joanna Howe told Sky News that she was taking the Fair Work action to “stop the University from bullying her by allowing activists to weaponise complaints against her.”

“I’m doing this not just to fight for my job.”

“I’m doing this for our freedoms, for all Australians who are sick and tired of the bullying and the harassment of the radical left, who expect us all to comply with their Woke religion.”

To this, she added,

“We don’t live in a totalitarian state. We live in Australia.”

“I am going to do everything I can to make sure that the University of Adelaide is built on academic freedom, because that’s a fundamental component of any democracy.”

Through an Instagram update, Dr Howe said, “All I want is the freedom to do my job.”

“The freedom to research abortion; to publicly critique it, and to be able to speak into this issue using my expertise.

“I want to be able to do what anyone else can do at the University, and just do scholarship, and advocacy.”

War of Attrition

A victim of  ‘mass reporting,’ Dr Howe faces a twofold process aimed at cancelling her.

First, exhaust the pro-life professor, and her resources. Second, force Adelaide University to fire her.

If they ask questions, clear Dr Howe’s name, and then reinstate the professor – rinse and repeat.

Mass reporting is the ‘coordinated effort to abuse reporting systems’ in order to ‘incorrectly’ cancel Dr Howe.

This social media tactic gives left-wing activists a weapon they can use against anyone they don’t like, or are told to attack.

In June, the pro-life professor shared statements from activists boasting about the attacks.

One user wrote,

“We have created a movement to have you held accountable for your misinformation. We are all emailing and complaining to Adelaide University.”

Another said, “Say goodbye to your job at Adelaide Uni.”

A third accused Dr Howe of “abusing her position, to spread hate, under the guise of free speech. Not just anti-abortion, but your anti-LGBTQ comments. SHAME.”

Responding, Dr Howe stated,

“Their only play is to shut me down, which says something about the weakness of their [pro-abortion] argument.”

“The process,” as they say, is indeed “the punishment.”

As Family First explained, Dr Joanna Howe is ‘one of the leading lights in the movement to uphold the rights of unborn babies, and protect their mothers from abortion coercion, and harm.’

Anti-life activists ‘mass reporting’ Dr Howe intend to silence, discredit, and delegitimise the mother of five’s factual, pro-life platform.

Her mistreatment “is tantamount to Soviet-style intimidation and ‘re-education’.”

Dr Howe is currently working through conciliation meetings with Adelaide University, the first of which was held on Monday.

Brave soul fighting for freedom on behalf of all of us . I was a proud graduate of Adelaide Uni in the 1960s when it was respected for its independent scholarship. Today it is a cesspit of intolerance and Woke indoctrination. Time to bulldoze all our universities ?

Why joanna not regulate smokers, fat people, pro life by taking away their ciggies and burgers? Their choices could negatively impact their kids lives. Ban everything that’s anti life? Or do all of you only feel it’s right when it’s another woman’s uterus?
