Trump Reflects on Assassination Attempt: “I’m more of a believer in God.”
Donald Trump, reflecting on his close brush with an assassin’s bullet, says he’s now more a believer in God.
The former president and 2024 candidate made the comments on X during a live conversation with Elon Musk.

There, Trump credited surviving the shot as a miracle, stating,
“For those people that don’t believe in God, I think we’ve all got to start thinking about that. I’m a believer, now I’m more of a believer I think.”
Musk introduced the topic, explaining that Trump’s actions during the attack “were inspiring.”

“Instead of shying away from things, and ducking down, you were pumping your fist in the air, and saying, ‘fight, fight, fight.’
He then added,
“The President of the United States represents America. I think that is America – strength under fire.”
The Space X, Telsa, and X boss also cited Trump’s response as part of the reason he was endorsing the former President.
A Hair’s Breadth
Asking him what the experience was like, Trump replied, “Not pleasant. I didn’t know I had that much blood.”
Trump then quipped, “Doctors told me the ear is a bloody place if you’re going to get hit.”
“In this case, it was probably the best alternative that you could even think about because it went at the right angle.”
“It was a hard hit. It was and it wasn’t very surreal. I knew immediately that it was a bullet,” Trump continued.
“I knew immediately that it was at the ear.”
“I heard people shout bullets, bullets, and get down, get down, because I moved down pretty nicely, pretty quickly.”
“We had bullets flying right over our heads, right after I went down. So, I’m glad I went down,” Trump observed.
“The bigger miracle,” he said, “was that I was looking in the direct direction of the shooter, and so it hit me at an angle that was far less destructive than any other angle.”
“So, that was the miracle. It was amazing that I just happened to be turned at that perfect angle.”
Real Deal
Musk insisted the chat was not an interview, stating he wanted people to hear the real Trump – unplugged, and free to talk.
Writing on X, Musk said, his use of the word conversation was deliberate.
“This is so that people understand how Donald Trump talks when it’s a conversation, rather than an interview.”
“Nobody is quite themselves in an interview, so it’s hard to understand what they’re really like,” Musk clarified.
15.6 million people initially tuned in to hear the conversation.
That number has now reached 16 million, and is rising.
Musk, predicting legacy media’s manipulative propagandising of the three-hour-long chat, asserted that the number of listeners could end up reaching 200 million+.

Censorship
Musk’s invitation marked the official return of Trump to the former Twitter platform after Silicon Valley’s blanket ban on the then President in 2021.
Before the X Spaces invite, Trump’s only post on X, between Jan. 2021 and now, was on 25 August 2023.
Trump’s return signals a win for free speech, satire, and political dissent.
A win made all the more poignant by the fury of Twitter’s former Leftwing overlords.
They want Musk cancelled, punished, and, if possible, incarcerated.
Unelected bureaucracies even seem to be picking up the same hammer and sickle, leftwing lawfare, long since deployed to destroy Donald Trump.
For example, European safety commissar Theirry Breton went as far as telling Elon Musk not to talk to Trump.
Bullying Musk, Breton demanded he ensure due diligence was applied under European Union laws, “protecting people against harmful content.”
Citing safetyism, the EU commissar for content said he wanted Musk to make sure he was mitigating against “potentially harmful” posts.
Such as “hatred, racism, disorder, incitement to violence, and ‘disinformation’.”
The one-page letter also demanded Musk immediately – “without delay” – inform the EU about how he plans to comply with bully bureaucrat Breton’s orders.
Failure to comply, he then strongly insinuated, would result in further legal action.
Breton inserted the recent UK “race riots” – even though Islam is not a race – as an example of “amplification and repercussions.”
He then doubled down, “urging” Musk to “promptly report X’s mitigation measures” to Breton’s team.
The French bureaucrat concluded the letter by saying that he would be watching Musk and X content closely.
Musk’s reply to Breton was a simple, “F**** you.”
Defending the X boss, Ayaan Hirsi Ali asked Breton,
“Who are you? An escapee from the fallen Soviet Union? What will you do next? Bring back the Gulag? People ask me: who is subverting our democracies? Well, here is Mr Breton, in his own words.”
Libs of TikTok rightly accused the EU of election interference.
Joining the massive backlash against Breton, James Macpherson wrote, “Sorry, who are you again?”
Jordan Peterson was just as clued in, telling the EU bureaucrat,
‘You just issued a not-so veiled threat to the man who could well be the next President of the United States. Do you really think that’s wise?”
Trump’s confession of faith was also hampered by hackers, who hit X with a distributed denial of service (DDOS) attack.
X was unable to go live with the interview/conversation until Musk’s team could shut down the attempt to stop Trump from speaking with him.
Epoch News reported a 40-minute delay, quoting Musk as saying the attack was proof there are people who “want to prevent the public from hearing Trump.”

Rod, balanced, calm and I could not detect any hidden agendas! Thank you so much. I am thrilled that the unelected puppets of the left leadership, who also seem to be unelected as well, are getting significant push-back.
Thanks, Jim. Easily could have said more. Worth noting at least. Thankful that places like Caldron Pool and the Daily Declaration exist. Otherwise we’d be all being spoon-fed the scripted – approved – narrative from the Marxist media.
