Indigenous Worldwide Standing with Israel
Indigenous Friends of Israel International co-founder Munganbana Norman Miller said, “Contrary to the claims of Leah House at the pro-Palestinian rally in Canberra on Tuesday, many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Australia and Indigenous people around the world are standing with Israel as they defend themselves from terrorist attacks.
“Israel did not start this war, but it is defending itself from attacks coming from all sides — Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis, Islamic Jihad, terrorist groups in the West Bank, militias in Iraq and Syria and their master Iran.
“My wife Barbara and I are in Canberra to stand with the Jewish community as they commemorate the horrific massacre and war crime of October 7 when Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Gazan citizens and UNRWA staff committed atrocities on Israelis, Jew and Arab, and people from other nations.
Doublespeak
“Australia has continually said Israel has the right to defend itself, but complains every time it does. No pressure is being put on terrorist groups to stop firing rockets into Israel daily for the last year.
“Taking hostages is a war crime, but there are still 101 hostages from Israel in Gaza being treated appallingly, with a large number already dead.
“Israel has tried very hard to avoid civilian casualties, but Hamas use them as human shields to win the propaganda war against Israel with a shocking disregard for the lives of their own people.
Indigenous Israelis
“I urge those few Indigenous people who attend pro-Hamas and pro-Hezbollah rallies not to be duped by the historically incorrect history they are promoting that Israel is a colonialist settler state.
“The Jews are the Indigenous people of Judea and Israel, and they successfully decolonised Israel in 1948 from centuries of colonisation by other powers on their land, including the Arabs conquering Jerusalem in AD 638 and the Turkish Ottoman Empire, which was defeated in 1917, leading later to the British Mandate.
“Many Indigenous people worldwide commend the Jews for being able to resettle their ancient homeland, though there has always been a remnant living in Israel.”

Very well said Norman. Thank you.
Judea +Israel is the ancient homeland of Jewish people who returned in 1948 to live with others who had never left. Jerusalem was their ancient Jewish capital and Table Mount was where King Solomon’s Temple stood, so , it is ridiculous for Moslem Palestinians /Arabs to claim Jerusalem . I find it offensive that a mosque has been built many, many centuries later on sacred ground that was part of the ancient Jewish Temple . Will I be prosecuted soon for “spreading racial hatred ” in Australia for speaking this historical Truth ? Is the only “Truth ” that permitted by the UN ?
Well said both comments thanks
