Day 24: God’s Deliverance in Personal, National and International Crises
Intention
To encourage ourselves in the God who bought deliverance to King Jehoshaphat and the kingdom of Judah during a national crisis.
Scripture
“Do not be afraid or discouraged… The battle is not yours, but God’s… You will not have to fight this battle… Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.”
– 2 Chronicles 20:15–17
Reflection
Have you ever faced a situation that put you into panic mode? Most of us have at one time or another.
Marxist globalist elites are increasingly threatening our nations. They want to subject all of us to their dictatorial ‘new world order’ and strip away our national sovereignty and individual rights and freedoms.
2 Chronicles 20:1–23 is one of my favourite passages. It deals with an impossible situation filled with impending doom for the people of Judah and Jerusalem.
During the time of King Jehoshaphat, three enemy armies invaded the land to besiege Jerusalem.
However, instead of giving way to sheer panic when told that “a vast army is coming against you”, he “resolved to inquire of the Lord and proclaimed a fast for all Judah” (2 Chronicles 20:3).
Rather than rushing into some emergency action of his own concoction, he turned his gaze on the Lord and invited others to join him in that endeavour. The people responded to their leader’s call and came to seek the Lord.
King Jehoshaphat led the people by praying, “We have no power to face this vast army… We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you” (2 Chronicles 20:12).
What maturity and wisdom the King of Judah and his people displayed! How often, when difficult and scary situations arise, do we quiet our anxious fears by seeking the face of the Lord?
The Judahites’ waiting enabled them to receive God’s strategy for handling their impossible situation.
Australia and the USA, along with many other countries, are in an existential struggle against the globalist elites controlling the United Nations, World Economic Forum, World Health Organization, International Monetary Fund, World Bank, and others. They are powerful institutions. How can we push back against their plans for totalitarian control through digital IDs, vaccine passports, central bank digital currencies, and other forms of enforced tyranny?
As Jehoshaphat heard the encouraging, God-given strategy, he responded in faith, doing something that seemed foolish from a military point of view. He put singers of praise before the warriors who sang to the Lord: “Give thanks to the Lord, for his love endures forever” (2 Chronicles 20:21).
As they gave thanks and sang, releasing their faith in the Lord, He threw their enemies into complete confusion. These enemy invaders turned on one another and were totally defeated.
In the same way, let us turn our attention to the One who has all power and knows all things.
Let’s trust Him for the personal crises and trying circumstances we encounter – now and in the future.
And for the geopolitical threats that now face our whole world, let’s realise that He can and will do the same thing for the body of Christ as He did for His embattled, ancient people.

Heavenly Father, we bring the current globalist communist threat to You in united, authoritative prayer. We agree in faith that You will bring these evil forces down.
We pray that the forces of freedom and national sovereignty would rise against digital IDs, vaccine passports, central bank digital currencies and other antichrist means of domination and control.
May such enemies, bent on the depopulation and digital enslavement of all humanity, be met with the same confusion and resounding defeat that befell Judah’s foes!
