Welcome to the 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting for Mercy and Truth to rescue the unborn. It is our privilege to partner, in intercession for future generations, with Jesus the King of Glory, and the Holy Spirit Who prays through us.

You are such a gift to the Body of Christ as you have responded to Jesus’s call to intercede for the vulnerable unborn.

May you receive grace to help in these 21 Days when you need it, and a sweet anointing from Heaven to sustain you. May you encounter the closeness of Jesus and the pleasure of our Heavenly Father. We pray the protection of Psalm 91 over you and your loved ones and a continual awareness of the union you have with our Lord.

John 15:5 in the TPT version reads, “I am the sprouting vine, and you are My branches. As you live in union with Me as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within you — but when you live separated from Me, you are powerless.”

In this passage, Jesus uses a metaphor to explain that people cannot accomplish anything meaningful in their lives without a connection to Christ. The Greek word for “abide” in this verse means “stay, to remain where you have been placed”.

We often, as Christians, do not live in the awareness of our union in Christ. The enemy has been able to sow seeds of doubt to blind us to the power of “Christ in us the hope of glory.” (Colossians 1:27)

The greatest tragedy of humanity, abortion, is widespread in our culture. Yet sadly, many followers of Jesus seem to be locked up in feelings of grief and powerlessness, believing the lie that they cannot make a difference. Many are unaware of abortion’s massive impact on our entire culture. Totally ignorant that the shedding of innocent blood is an abomination to the Lord and that it empowers the enemy.

However, we are God’s solution on the earth right now – corporately, as His Ekklesia, we are the empowered ones to take up the battle to see an end to abortion. It takes courage and unity to not give up but to listen to the Lord’s strategy — to abide in Him asking for wisdom, knowing that the timing of the destruction of the enemies’ work is in God’s timing.

By recognising and abiding in Him, we will be a fruitful people, like Gideon in Judges 6 – 8, seemingly weak yet empowered by the Lord to win a great victory. The first thing Gideon was called to do was tear down the evil altar in the high place where innocent blood was shed. Prayer to do this comes from consistent listening and obedience to the Lord; even in our weakness, He gives us the victory.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, You came to destroy the works of the devil, and we agree it is finished.
Lord, we ask for a greater awareness of Your beautiful presence within each one of us, so we will flow with streams of fruitfulness. Lord, where we lack wisdom, we ask now for a greater measure of wisdom and discernment to discover Your pleasing and perfect will and to walk in Your ways.
Lord, reveal Yourself afresh to Your people in dreams and visions to the call we have from You to stand firm in this battle for the lives of those who cannot defend themselves.
Raise up the Gideons in our day who have been hiding and in self-protection, to see You face to face and be able to fulfil the call to destroy the works of evil of legalised abortion in our land. Praise You, King of Glory — You are worthy to be honoured, above all else we worship You! In Your name, we pray, Yeshua, Amen.

Prayer Points

• That faith arises in the Body of Christ to apply the victory of the cross and follow the Lord’s strategy and timing.
• May the word of God wash us clean from all cultural mindsets and deception.
• That our desire to abide in Jesus the True Vine will be relentless and fruitful.
• Pray that the Spirit of Truth goes forth to persuade and convince people that abortion is unthinkable in Australia.
• That Jesus’s body be in unity as one (John 17:21) and be in prayer and advocate for Life for the Unborn. That Jesus’s disciples be activated in their unique spheres of influence speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves.
• Pray that in all the upcoming elections that Australians will vote according to Life. That State and Federal political leaders who have stopped their parties from bringing forth any discussion or bills about abortion, repent and that this ban be lifted. That the Babies Born Alive (Human Rights — Children Born Alive Protection Bill 2021) tabled in the Australian Federal Parliament to be passed with no more delay, so that in every state and territory in Australia where babies have been born alive after a failed abortion, that they will receive proper medical care and legal protection.
• That every church be a trusted place of mercy and compassion — to discern and discover those who find themselves in an unplanned/crisis pregnancy. To be an effective House of Refuge for the unborn and their families. For Hubs of Love to be established in every city and town in the nation.
• That women in crisis phone the compassionate and confidential Pregnancy Help Australia or visit a life-affirming pregnancy centre — not go to a pro-abortion doctor or clinic for advice.
• We pray for every state and territory of Australia to arise in the cause of defending life in the womb from the tragedy of abortion and come together to walk for life. A blessing on the “Walk for Life Adelaide” on 8 February 2025 and “March for Life” Brisbane — date TBA, Mackay “March for the Babies” in October, “March for the Babies” Melbourne, Perth’s Rally for Life in May, and for all Territories and States to join in and hold a Walk for Life in their city/region.
• Pray for Love Adelaide’s Walk for Life 2025 on 8^th February from 10am-12pm to grow in momentum and fruitfulness. Pray for effective doors of favour to open, health and strength for the leaders, speakers and volunteers, for finances, safety and perfect weather.
