We Claim Our Nation for Jesus: Day 5
Intention
To call the Church to ‘stand together’ in righteousness and unity and cry out “Mercy” for our nation.
Scripture
“‘So now, may my Lord’s power be magnified just as you have spoken: The Lord is slow to anger and abounding in faithful love, forgiving iniquity and rebellion. But he will not leave the guilty unpunished, bringing the consequences of the fathers’ iniquity on the children to the third and fourth generation.’
“‘Please pardon the iniquity of this people, in keeping with the greatness of your faithful love, just as you have forgiven them from Egypt until now.”
“The Lord responded, ‘I have pardoned them as you requested.’”
– Numbers 14:17–20
Reflection
When you study Numbers 14, you find the Israelites were moaning and complaining against their leaders.
Today, leaders in government come and go. God is wanting godly leaders, righteous leaders because, as Proverbs 14:34 says, “Righteousness exalts a nation”. And as Proverbs 29:2 wisely teaches, “When the righteous rule, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people mourn.”
Moses was righteous. He cried out “Mercy” for his nation, Israel.
We have many righteous people in our nation. We have also had many wonderful prophetic words declared over us, the greatest of which is, “The Great Southland of the Holy Spirit.” No other nation has had a prophetic word like this.
We, as the army of God, cry out for forgiveness on behalf of the people of this nation, just as Moses and Aaron did for theirs. We cry out, “Father, forgive the iniquity of the people of Australia. Forgive the iniquity of the land for allowing foreign gods to come and replace our Judeo-Christian beliefs.”
We, His Church, are a people of power and authority. We are His righteous people, and we cry out “Salvation to our nation”. We pull down the blindness from over the minds of the people. They will have wisdom, revelation and understanding so they won’t be deceived (Ephesians 1:17). We cry out for Australia to be a nation unto Christ.
God pardoned Israel because Moses reminded God of His Word in Exodus 32:11–14. In Numbers 14:20, God said to Moses, “I pardoned because of your words.”
God loves His Church. The effectual fervent prayers of His righteous availeth much (James 5:16–17). May righteous men and women arise in this nation to remind God of His Word. Let us be unified and in harmony to plead “Mercy” for our nation so that the people of this nation come to Christ.
We thank You, Father, that the land is released in this nation. This land belongs to you, Lord Jesus.

Prayer
“Though one may be overpowered, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not easily broken” (Ecclesiastes 4:12).
Father, we pray in Jesus’ name for salvation for our nation (John 3:16).
Father, we thank You that our Judaeo-Christian beliefs “stand”. We pray against anti-Semitism in our nation and for a realigning with Israel and America. A threefold cord is not easily broken.

“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, people groan.” (Proverbs 29:2)
Father, in Jesus’ name, we unite as your righteous people that our nation aligns heaven with earth to rain down ‘Mercy’.
Thank you, Father, that the Holy Spirit brings this nation under conviction to the Lordship of Jesus. We pray that our land may receive wisdom, revelation and understanding of the Father’s heart and that His love will be revealed to the people. In Jesus’ name.

“In the same way the Spirit also helps us in our weakness, because we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with inexpressible groanings.” (Romans 8:26)
Father, we pray that a Spirit of intercession and travail is released on the Church of the nation. Give us a heart for revival fire, a heart for souls and a heart for the sick.

“He entered the most holy place once for all time, not by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption.” (Hebrews 9:12)
Father, we see the blood of Jesus over the land of our nation like a river pushing out the darkness. We see a river of life uprooting all occult worship and people knowing the love and freedom of Jesus Christ.
Father, we thank You in Jesus’ name that we see The Lord’s Prayer and the 10 Commandments back in our State Schools; our Judeo-Christian beliefs being taught in our schools.

“For I, says the Lord, will be a wall of fire all around her, and I will be the glory in her midst.” (Zechariah 2:5)
We thank You, Father, that we see the Church of the city and nation standing together arm in arm, forming an altar of prayer all around our country.
Father, we thank You, that as we see our prayers in the Spirit, we will reap them in the natural, in Jesus’ name.
