An official FBI report into the assassination of two Christian and Jewish Israeli Embassy workers confirms the Washington DC murders were politically motivated.

Sarah Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky were allegedly shot multiple times by Elias Rodriguez, a leftwing activist, who turned himself in while shouting “Free Palestine.”

Rodriguez also “spontaneously stated on scene to MPD, that he did it for Palestine – did it for Gaza.”

Rodriguez Opens Fire

According to the FBI affidavit, CCTV footage shows four people leaving a Young Diplomats event at the DC Jewish Museum.

Rodriguez then walks past the victims, turns, and appears to shoot at the group from behind.

Milgrim and Lischinsky were subsequently hit several times in the back.

The report suggests Lischinsky was killed instantly.

Milgrim survived the initial shooting, only to be shot again while trying to crawl away.

Rodriguez allegedly “followed behind her and fired again.”

Milgrim, the FBI said, tried to sit up while the shooter was reloading.

Spotting signs of life, the “Free Palestine” leftwing activist then appeared to fire at Milgrim several more times.

Paramedics were unable to save her, the FBI added.

Based on an eyewitness account, the report suggests that Rodriguez was attempting to fire the 9mm handgun at other targets.

Appearing to be out of ammunition, he then allegedly threw the weapon away.

Yaron and Sarah were our friends and colleagues. They were in the prime of their lives.

Embassy Victims: Evangelical Christian and Peace Advocate

The Leftwing terrorist’s first victim, German-born Yaron Lischinsky, was a young Israeli and Evangelical Christian who worked as a researcher for Israel’s embassy in the United States.

Lischinsky is described as having a heart for Israel, who once stated that,

“As a Christian who reads the Bible, support and love for Israel naturally flows from scripture.”

“I cannot imagine it any other way.”

Remembering Sarah Milgrim, The Times of Israel referred to her as an “environmental advocate” who wanted to “repair a broken world.”

Milgrim’s personal LinkedIn page identifies her as a Jewish Educator, certified to be an advocate for “religious engagement, dialogue and peacebuilding.”

Quoting friends and colleagues, the Jewish news outlet Israel Hayom said Lischinsky and Milgrim were about to get engaged.

Murderer’s Motivation

Responding to the far-left domestic terrorist attack, Franklin Graham stopped short of criticising the Left or even Islam.

The murders, he asserted, were driven by antisemitism, and that comes from the corrupted condition of the human heart.

“The Bible says, ‘The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked’ (Jeremiah 17:9). Only God can transform the human heart.”

“This couple was planning to be engaged next week in Jerusalem.”

“Pray for the family members who are suffering because of this wicked act of evil.”

Or as another X account remarked,

“Satan absolutely hates it when Jews and Christians unite. We must stand together!”

The Blaze’s “Relatable” political commentator and Christian, Allie Beth Stuckey, went further.

Stuckey asserted the attack was par for the course for leftism. She explained,

“It’s scary to realise how many progressives are always on the brink of murder.”

“Their ideology inevitably leads to violent extremism.”

“Meanwhile, they convince themselves, against all evidence, that the true terrorists are on the *other* side. It’s truly depraved delusion.”

Sharing the sentiment, Babylon Bee boss, Seth Dillon, observed,

“When people are collectively demonized, they’re no longer seen as individuals with rights and dignity of their own.”

“This is what produced the Holocaust, the Rwandan genocide, Stalinist purges, Mao’s Cultural Revolution, etc.”

For the progressive left,

“Every Jew becomes a ‘Zionist occupier’. Every white man becomes a ‘coloniser’.”

“Once that framing is accepted, violence becomes virtue.”

Marxian-Islamist Matrix

In other words, Marxists are going to do what Marxism always does, and Islamists are going to live out the true tenets of Islam.

It’s a zero-sum game, and most inside the Marxian-Islamist matrix know it.

The difference is between those who know they could be Mohammad or Marx’s next victims and those who know how to avoid being next.

Constantly shifting the blame for the failures of their vile revolutionary jihads onto others is a sure-fire way to avoid the revolution devouring its own – to borrow from Hannah Arendt.

This, of course, only works for as long as there is someone else to blame.

The potential danger in this tragedy is Western media and politicians not being bold enough to call a spade a spade.

As I’ve repeatedly argued, the broader context of the contest in the Middle East is Islam vs. Israel.

The West coddling Islamism in the name of anti-Israel activism is cultural suicide.
