Donald Trump ABC Antichrist

The ABC Asks “Is Trump the Anti-Christ?”

The ABC have published a long article asking: “Is Donald Trump the Anti-Christ?”

And why not? The left-wing media long ago pronounced Trump the reincarnation of Hitler.

So why not the anti-Christ?

The article begins with the assertion that we are living in evil, apocalyptic times.

No argument here. I mean, what could be more wicked than being forced to pay for the ABC?

The article talks about the book of Revelation and its prophecy that a world leader will arise who will personify the devil himself.

On and on the article drones.

Almost 900 words.

And then, finally, the author comes to the issue. Not like a thief in the night, but like a sloth who has overdosed on prozac…

“Is Donald Trump the anti-Christ?”

I won’t keep you in suspense.

The very next line of the article says…

“The short answer is no…”

Well, that was a letdown.

Why didn’t the ABC just say “no” at the top?

Actually, knowing Trump is not the anti-Christ, why did the ABC bother posing the question at all?

ABC on Religion and Ethics

For a Religion and Ethics topic, it’s not terribly ethical to just randomly pose questions that you already know not to be true.

Is it because they know very well that most people won’t be assed reading almost 900 words of drivel to get to the answer?

Is it because the ABC know most people will read the headline and immediately assume that Trump must be Beelzebub in human form. Why else would the ABC ask the question?

I fully expect them to publish an article headlined…

“Is Donald Trump a Satanic Pedophile?”…

… to which the answer will, of course, be ‘no’ but not before they’ve had some fun with the possibility that he could be, if it wasn’t for the fact he’s not.

The ABC do not let the fact that Trump is clearly not the Anti-Christ get in the way of smearing him as “an” anti-Christ, though.

And their evidence? Well they came up with a helpful list of anti-Christ-like acts of which Trump is guilty…

  • put millions of lives at risk by pausing most foreign aid;
  • prioritised the arrest of undocumented migrants;
  • stopped most immigration by brown skinned people while proactively offering visa to white South Africans;
  • expanded Guantanamo while pardoning 6 January rioters;
  • paused military aid to Ukraine;
  • tried to limit diversity and inclusion measures; and
  • created a culture of fear that blames certain minorities for America not being “great again”.

Yep, when the Apostle John received a divine vision of end time events, sitting as he was on the island of Patmos, he was warned by the Lord of a man who would um, try to, you know, limit diversity!

Oh the horror!

ABC and Anti-christ Actions

I guess you might have imagined the anti-Christ promoting late term abortion, insisting men could become women and flooding the country with fentanyl.

Wait. That’s not the anti-Christ. That’s the Democrats. They’re waaaaay worse.

The anti-Christ would be identifiable by his desire to offer visas to white South Africans. I mean, that’s exactly the kind of thing the devil would do! Right?

If you and I weren’t paying for the ABC, it would be hilarious!

Clearly nobody at Auntie reads the Bible. And yet some people get all their knowledge on Christianity from the ABC. As well as all their knowledge about climate change, come to think of it!

    The same people who obviously don’t believe in God, belittle Christian values and happily push the envelope with Anti Semitic sympathies pose the question ‘Is Trump the Anti Christ?’
    If they don’t believe in God, and of course Jesus Christ, how can they hold a straight face while keeping their eyes open for the Anti Christ?
    Belief in one must surely lead them to believe in the other.
    Otherwise they might as well be on the lookout for the real Daffy Duck!

    So the ABC is trying to take Bible prophecies seriously ?
    But there’s no point in starting a book at the end … you have to start at beginning and read the WHOLE thing, otherwise you’ll have no idea what it’s really about. Or for.

    If the ABC cares one iota about the content and purpose of the WHOLE Bible, they will KNOW that it’s all about Jesus Christ.

    And the pivotal question for ALL PEOPLE including those in the ABC is :

    Who do you say Jesus Christ is ?

    Fussing about anti-Christ is a great diversion for those who have no interest in who Jesus Christ is. The devil himself delights to keep them fiddliing over that topic, so that they totally bypass who Christ is … if they continue that way, then when Christ DOES RETURN, He will bypass them …

    May the mercy and grace of the living God continue to bless all who seek the truth.

    Actually, I do think Trump is an Antichrist as he is the diametric opposite of almost everything that Jesus Christ is and was, and has destroyed the USA and made Christians look like Hypocrites who have made a deal with the Devil to push their narrow view of what it means to be a follower of Christ.

    The Bible talks about “When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies” which sounds like an extremely good description of Donald Trump. Even when he is saying or promoting something that has a grain of truth or good, he twists and distorts it.

    As a Christian myself I find it impossible to reconcile Trump’s actions and the actions of those Christians who support him with what Jesus would do.

    A real follower of the Son of God would be making sure that no-one in the USA was going bankrupt or dying because they couldn’t afford healthcare. He/she would be protecting the poor and the widows not giving enormous tax breaks to the rich.

    They would have compassion on refugees and the dispossessed, breaking down walls – not building them and welcoming them in with open loving arms, not spewing vile insults, obscenities and accusations and damning people because of the colour of their skin or the country they came from or sexually and verbally abusing women and casting invective at anyone who disagreed with him.

    Heck all his name-calling is what you’d hear and condemn in a primary schoolyard, not coming from the mouth of a president.

    A Christian would be protecting God’s Creation and working to clean up the world, not abolishing protections that stop companies from dumping Mercury into rivers or encouraging polluters to belch smoke and toxic waste into the atmosphere or putting Oil company execs in charge of the Environmental Protection Authority. Talk about the foxes guarding the henhouse.

    They would have provided strong, compassionate leadership to the entire country during the pandemic encouraging sharing of health resources, not insulting and trying to discredit all those health professionals who were trying to stem the flood of deaths and casualties.

    No, Donald Trump has instead cynically manipulated Evangelical Christians (I used to class myself as an Evangelical Christian until that label was dragged through the mud in the USA), pandering to a few hot potato issues like Abortion and Gay rights and ignoring every other issue pretending the Bible was his favourite book when he can’t even speak a single verse of scripture.
