When Heaven Touches Earth: Inside Australia’s Most Strategic Evangelism Gathering
There are moments when you sense the divine intersecting with human purpose so powerfully that you know you’re witnessing something eternally significant. Such was the atmosphere at the recent Australian Evangelism Roundtable, where leaders from across the nation gathered with one unified vision: to see Australia reached for Christ by 2033.
A Sacred Gathering Under Prayer
From the moment delegates arrived, there was a palpable sense that this gathering was divinely orchestrated and protected. This was no ordinary meeting, but a sacred convening covered in prayer by intercessors across the continent for a full 24 hours.
Men and women of God gathered “in such humility and love and adoration”, refusing to rush worship despite time constraints. This reverence set the tone for everything that followed, creating an environment where strategic Kingdom decisions could be made with both wisdom and unity.
Rick Warren’s Strategic Challenge: Invest, Don’t Just Spend
One of the weekend’s profound moments included renowned pastor Rick Warren’s message to the assembled leaders. Drawing from Jesus’ parable of the soils, Warren presented a strategic framework that left delegates both convicted and inspired.
Warren reminded leaders that Jesus was incredibly strategic about where He invested His time, focusing on those experiencing pain—whether through illness, loss, rejection, or spiritual struggle—because hearts broken open by pain are most receptive to the Gospel message.
From this foundation, Warren presented three stark choices: we can waste our lives, spend our lives, or invest our lives. Since only two things remain for eternity—God’s Word and people—these are the only worthy investments.
“If you’ve got something better that you’re investing your life in, please tell us now,” Warren challenged. The conviction was so powerful that I found myself shrinking back, recognising how easily we can get caught up in good things that aren’t necessarily the best things—even family concerns and future planning, while important, can distract from eternal investments.
The 2033 Vision: Australia Reached for Christ
The Australian Evangelism Roundtable represents more than networking—it’s a movement of God’s people aligned around an audacious faith goal. By 2033, these leaders envision an Australia where every person has had a genuine opportunity to encounter Christ.
The pain of recent years has created unprecedented openness to spiritual truth. When leaders gather with such unity, humility, and strategic focus, under divine covering, transformation becomes not just possible but inevitable.
Australia, prepare for harvest. The seeds are being strategically sown, and 2033 may well mark the year a nation turns toward home.

Australia still has a blasphemy law architecture that goes by a new name — namely, our vilification and anti-discrimination framework. These laws have striking parallels to Australia’s old blasphemy laws, with the exception that they serve a new god and are more readily enforced than the old ones.

I was there and I can testify to how God was present in the room and in the people as they spoke. Carol & Tamara linked in the Australian Evangelism Roundtable with our 24/7 prayer & worship team who interceded for us around the clock. Tamara has nailed the event when she said, ” When leaders gather with such unity, humility, and strategic focus, under divine covering, transformation becomes not just possible but inevitable.”
It was an awesome time. Tamara and Carol connected the prayer so very effectively.
I have never seen such unity and oneness at a high level gathering of this nature. Truly the Body of Christ is one, and we are one in Christ Jesus.
There is an ongoing move to see the Reaching Australia 2033 initiative move forward as part of the Global 2033 goals.
This is such a powerful move within the body of Christ that I pray lays the foundation for further collaboration and unity as we move forward to reach more people across our nation.
