The Biggest Week Yet for Life, Faith, Family and Freedom in WA Parliament
This is the last and most important week of the year in the WA Parliament!
When I was campaigning earlier this year, I promised to be a bold and relentless advocate for life, faith, family and freedom.
In this final sitting week of Parliament, I intend to deliver on that promise and finish the year strong.
On Thursday, we will be leading Non‑Government Business — meaning I get 80 minutes to set the agenda for the Legislative Council.
And what do I intend to do with that time?
The Born Equal Bill
I will be introducing the first ever Born Equal Bill.
A desperately needed and long overdue piece of legislation that amends the current Bill to care for, and report on, babies born alive after an abortion.
This Bill will:
- Recognise these babies as human persons under the law
- Require that they receive the same level of life‑saving care any other newborn baby would receive
- Abolish the clause passed by Labor which prohibits the reporting of deaths of babies born alive to the Coroner.
Every baby deserves equal protection.
Every baby deserves equal recognition.
But we didn’t stop there!
Since we’re only introducing the Bill (meaning the Chamber can’t debate and vote on it yet), we didn’t want to let this one Non‑Government Business slot for the year pass us by.
So I decided to also move a critical motion:
Ban Puberty Blockers for Children
This motion calls on the Government to:
- Note the increasing number of jurisdictions around the world that have banned or severely restricted access to these treatments for minors
- Immediately halt all new prescriptions of puberty blockers for minors
- Make watchful waiting the standard approach for minors with gender dysphoria.
The evidence is overwhelming. The world is waking up. And Western Australia cannot lag behind when children’s lives and futures are at stake.
This is not about me — it’s about US. These are our fights. Our bills. Our motions.
Your support and membership enables our voice to be heard as stand for the values that matter.
A key scripture that stuck by me the last few weeks was Philippians 4:13.
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Paul wasn’t talking about winning every battle or getting everything he wanted. He was talking about facing every season — pressure, hardship, success, or lack — with a supernatural resilience that comes from Christ. How amazing is that! We can do ALL things through HIM!
God himself empowers us to endure, stand firm, and keep going when our own strength runs out. Whatever we walk through, his strength meets us exactly where ours ends.
