Call for Prayer on Saturday 20 December 2025 to Seek Comfort and Peace for Our Nation
Dear friends and fellow intercessors,
I am calling for this time of prayer on Saturday 20 December from 10:00am to 11:00am AEDT as it has been on my heart that during this difficult time for our nation we should take time, in the midst of all that we have to do as we approach this Christmas season, to pause and pray from a posture of repentance.
We will focussing on the following prayer points:
- Families and friends grieving the loss of loved ones, asking for comfort, peace, and the nearness of the Lord Jesus.
- Those who are injured or traumatised, for healing of body, mind, and heart, and for compassionate care.
- The Jewish community and all who feel vulnerable or fearful, that they would experience safety, dignity, and support.
- First responders, medical teams, counsellors, and carers, that they would be strengthened and sustained.
- Our communities, not to be shaped by fear, hatred and violence, and that the peace of Christ would guard hearts and minds.
- Our leaders and those in authority, locally, nationally, and globally, that they would act with wisdom, restraint, justice, and compassion in these unsettled times.
- Nations facing conflict and violence, including Ukraine, Sudan, the Congo, and other places known to the Lord, asking for protection of civilians and pathways toward peace.
- Those displaced by violence and war, that they would find refuge, provision, and welcome.
- The Church, that we would live as one household in Christ, a dwelling place of God by his Spirit, marked by love, humility, and prayerful presence.
- The light of Christ would continue to shine in the darkness, revealing forgiveness, mercy, reconciliation, and hope.

Something remarkable has happened inside the modern Labor Party. It has become the political home of four ideologies that, on paper, ought to despise one another: Socialism. Islamism. Globalism. And LGBTQ activism.

Very key points to pray through, especially for these “unsettled times”.
