Girl Guides Australia Doubles Down on Gender Madness
Girl Guides Australia has proudly announced it will continue to recognise boys who identify as girls… as girls.
While the UK Girl Guides have recently decided that perhaps sex isn’t merely a vibe, their Australian cousins have doubled down on the doctrine of gender make-believe.
In a post to their Instagram account they wrote…
“Girl Guides Australia’s mission is to empower girls and young women to discover their potential as leaders of their world.”
Lovely. Inspiring. Almost normal.
Redefining Girls
But then, because this is 2025 and common sense is a hate crime, they followed it up with:
“All girls — cisgender and transgender — are welcome at Guides and we support their personal journeys.”
Nothing says “female empowerment” like redefining “female” to include boys.
‘Transgender girls’ are not girls.
And allowing not-girls into an “all girls” program is not empowerment; it’s identity fraud meets policy lunacy.
You might remember back in 2022 when the WA Girl Guides CEO was fired after just a few weeks in her role. Her crime? She suggested that maybe, just maybe, girls’ groups should be for girls.
Rosemary Derwin, the chief commissioner at the time, rushed to assure The Australian that all was well in Wonderland:
Derwin said…
“Girls and women who identify and live in the community as female are welcomed in our organisation.
“We don’t ask parents, ‘Is your daughter a transgender girl or a biological girl?’”
“As that would be discriminatory in itself.”
Hilarious!
Girl Guides: Established for… Girls
Girl Guides is inherently discriminatory. That’s the whole point.
If you don’t want to discriminate between boys and girls, stop calling yourself Girl Guides and rebrand as The People Who Like Biscuits and Badges Club.
Anyway, Derwin prattled on…
“If a transgender girl goes to school as a girl, and her friends go to Guides, it’s important they can come too, otherwise it’s discriminatory.”
By that logic, if a 54-year-old man identifies as a Year 5 student, should the school tuck shop start stocking Metamucil? Otherwise… discrimination?
What was once a proud institution dedicated to empowering girls has turned itself into a sketch comedy routine.
The Girl Guides have become a parody. They are just one badge away from issuing the “Biology Is Mean” merit patch.
My advice? Keep your precious daughters well away from Girl Guides Australia.

My whole family were active in guides and scouts in the ‘60s and 70’s. It was a wonderful organisation. The guide pledge was I honour God, I serve the Queen, I salute the flag. The guide prayer was magnificent. I knew there was trouble brewing when they dropped calling the youngest age group “brownies”.
Those running the show need to be GUIDED by biological truth, not fantasy that has the potential to harm real girls.
