Genius of the Lords Redemption

Day 1: The Genius of the Lord’s Redemption

18 January 2026

3.6 MINS

Intention

To humbly bow down in worship and adoration for the Lord’s redemption.

Scripture

“And they were all singing this new song of praise to the Lamb:
‘Because you were slaughtered for us,
you are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals.
Your blood was the price paid to redeem us.
You purchased us to bring us to God
out of every tribe, language, people group, and nation.
You have chosen us to serve our God and formed us
into a kingdom of priests who reign on the earth.’”

– Revelation 5:9–10 (TPT)

Reflection

Scripture teaches us that the plan for the Lamb to be slain was decided by God before the creation of the world (Revelation 13:8).

This is a phenomenal thought. The redemptive plan for all humanity was made before any of us or creation existed. There was an eternal covenant that was in place and completed at the cross when the only sinless human Jesus Christ was put to death. He was totally innocent and without spot or blemish — the sacrificial Lamb. He cried out “It is finished!” We, his beloved Bride are now on earth as his kingdom of priests! 1 Peter 1:18–20 (NKJV) records:

“Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you.”

His blood was the price paid to redeem us! We are redeemed by the blood of the Lamb and his blood on the Mercy Seat in Heaven speaks a better word for all humanity – “Mercy!” (Hebrews 12:24).

We respond by humbly bowing down in worship and adoration, letting flow out of our hearts deep intercession for those trapped in the deception of believing that an abortion is the solution to an unplanned or crisis pregnancy.

Sadly, the truth is the destruction of any precious human life becomes a death trap to all who partner with it. The experience of abortion grief felt by both the mother and father is unexpected and horrific – often it is immediate, and yet in others who go into denial, it can surface around five years later or more. It comes without warning. Nothing can truly erase it except the powerful redemption of the revelation of Jesus Christ and his forgiveness and restoration!

Let us join with the Lord Jesus in echoing his prayer on the cross: “Father forgive them, they know not what they do!” The great cloud of witnesses in heaven (Hebrews 12:1), and the Lord, together with the Holy Spirit in us on earth are all in agreement: “Father forgive them!” God’s mercy and redemption are eternal and available to all who turn to him!

Prayer

Gracious Father, as we embark on these 21 days of prayer and fasting, we recognise that we also need your forgiveness. We have been a people who have not always demonstrated the power of forgiveness towards others and not always been merciful.

We adore you Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit. Thank you for your beautiful redemptive plan. Thank you that by your grace we are part of your holy priesthood. May we effectively pray what is on your heart and carry the good news of salvation to everyone we meet.

May our lives be a witness to your heart that delights in and desires to redeem all humanity. Let the little children come to you Lord and let their lives be rescued and their families turn to you and be forever changed.

In your most powerful redeeming name, Jesus, our King. Amen.

The Bible states “from the foundation of the world” not before it. At the beginning of creation, not before it.
One too might read Gods order in the church in regards to the place women have in it.
The Bible clearly states its a mans position. To go against the clear Bible teaching and order is to thumb ones nose at God Himself. Feminism at its worst.

Father forgive them they know not what they do isn’t to be applied by us to others sins. This was Jesus saying this in their ignorance of whom He really was. This is later echoed in 1 Corinthians 2 – 8 “Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.”
They didn’t realise exactly whom they were crucifying. Jesus didn’t say that for every sin and we can’t either.
Too often this text is used outside of its true context like some emotional plea.

JD’s comments are not appropriate in this setting. Please don’t post this kind of comment. it’s not an arena for theological debating . There are much more important issues about saving lives of innocent babies. And supporting people who are suffering because of abortion.

Jesus came to seek and save the lost and that was for all who believe in him . We are to pray for all people to turn to him. It is not for us to decide who will respond. jd that means we are to show love to all and not judgement

Pastor Ann Browne, you work at the coalface of women who face this horrible situation. You see and minister life and love to them.
Jon D, your words are a sounding brass and a tinkling cymbal.
    Unworthy of being printed.
    Disgraceful.
