The Liberator

The Liberator

1 April 2026

7 MINS

As we approach the Jewish Passover, 1 April 2026, I am writing to share that Yeshua is the Liberator. Our Father God’s story of redemption did not just appear in the pages of the New Testament, but is part of an ancient plan that our Father God devised to save mankind so that we could be one with Him in His family.

Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread

Passover or Pesach (Hebrew: חַג הַפֶּסַח, romanised: Ḥag Ha‑Pesaḥ), as the Jews say, is 1–2 April 2026 and is celebrated for one day:

Leviticus 23:5 — “On the fourteenth day of the first month at twilight is the LORD’s Passover.”

Pesach is followed by the Feast of Unleavened Bread, 2–8 April. This is celebrated for seven days — Leviticus 23:6 — “And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the LORD; seven days you must eat unleavened bread.”

Many celebrate these two festivals as one event; however, the scripture makes it clear that they are two separate feasts.

The Liberator in the New Testament

“The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.”
— Luke 4:18-19 (NKJV)

Our Beloved Yeshua spoke these words in the Gospel of Luke about proclaiming liberty to the captives.

The Liberator in the Old Testament

He was referring back to the scripture in —

Isaiah 42:7 — To open blind eyes,
To bring out prisoners from the prison,
Those who sit in darkness from the prison house.

And

“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me,
Because the LORD has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound.
— Isaiah 61:1 (NKJV)

When Yeshua read Isaiah 61:1 as recorded in the Gospel of Luke, He stated that He himself was the Liberator of the captives and connected this with the year of Jubilee. He is our Jubilee.

I did google to see how many people in the world would be celebrating Passover and Easter this month, and I was informed that 30% of the world’s population, Jews and Christians, would be celebrating these special events. This is a significant percentage of the world’s population focusing on the Lord.

These are special times in God’s calendar, and I do not take these things lightly because the Lord is always at work behind the scenes, and as we as watchmen on the walls wait on the Lord, I believe we will see His hand at work.

Rest in the Time of Liberation

The Jews were commanded to do no work on these special days of holy convocation.

The first day and the 7th day of unleavened bread are days of holy convocation, and the people are to do no work.

Lev 23:7 — ‘On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it.

Lev 23:8 — ‘But you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD for seven days. The seventh day shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it.’

May we who are able, in our busy schedules, also take time to pause and reflect on “so great a salvation…” — Hebrews 2:3 (NKJV)

The Liberator Restores

Our Father God always wanted a family.  The sin in the garden of Eden with Adam and Eve robbed them of the fullness that our Father God had always wanted to lavish upon them.

Through the ages of history, Father God put into place the redemption story.  One of the high points is Passover, and ultimately we see the sacrifice of His only begotten and beloved son, Yeshua, who became in time, the Lamb that had been slain since before the foundation of the world.

And so, as the story unfolds, we see the following steps.

Step one:

In the Passover story, we see the Pesach lamb slain. This blood of the lamb was painted on the doorpost and lintels and preserved the life of all in the house. Today, we understand this shedding of blood to be our Messiah’s blood, which He shed for the forgiveness of the sins of mankind.

Our old man died with Yeshua, and when we battle today, we are dealing with our flesh, and He gives us the victory, even in this area. Ultimately, Father God does not want us to suffer.  He sent Yeshua, our Liberator, to free us from our chains so that we could live in His liberty.

Because the doorway had the lamb’s blood on the doorpost and the lintel, the angel of death passed over. In the same way, when the blood of the Lamb is upon us, we are redeemed from sin and death, and we wear His robe of righteousness so we can live His abundant life. He paid the price to liberate us.

The Lord set His people free from Pharaoh at Passover in the Exodus story, and we also know that Yeshua paid the price to set us free from sin at the crucifixion. Today, we are also beginning to see the Lord at work in the liberation of the nations of the world. Iran is still a work in progress, but I believe the Lord is orchestrating events to liberate the people of Iran from the tyrannical regime they have been living under.

Step two:

After the Passover celebration comes the seven days of unleavened bread. Unleavened bread was eaten at the Passover meal, and this unleavened bread then continued to be eaten during those seven days. There is a set time for the cleansing of the houses of the yeast. We understand that yeast is a symbol of sin.

Even though we know that the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin, we as believers continue to go through a process which the bible calls sanctification. These seven days of no yeast in the bread speak to me of the sanctification process of the Holy Spirit in our lives. He works in us to make us like Yeshua. Seven can mean completeness, and so in this symbol, I see that the Lord wants to make us complete, as it says in —

1 Peter 1:16 (KJV) — Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

Liberty – a Kingdom Lifestyle

Sonship and freedom were always our Father’s plan. He wanted a beautiful Bride for His Son, made up of sons and daughters, as many as the fullness of time would afford Him.

For some, the journey seems difficult and arduous, but the answer is sure – once we are covered by the blood of the Lamb through Yeshua our Saviour, we are free from sin and eternal death or eternal separation from our Father. We are now family members and under His covering and protection.

Just like Father’s Beloved Chosen People in the Exodus story had to journey from slavery, our Father wants us also to journey from sin and death into family life with Him.

Liberty Enforced

At the end of January, my husband Kym and I went to a seaside resort for our anniversary, and at 2:00AM on our first night there, I heard a voice in my right ear:

Proclaim that the Lord has broken through.”

I did not know if this was the Holy Spirit or an angel. It was about the same time as the hostages went home from Gaza and back into Israel.

And so, I asked the Lord, was that the Holy Spirit or an angel, and He said to me, “It was Me.”

This statement that the Lord gave me, I have now used frequently in my prayer times and even shared this story with others. Even though Yeshua broke through at Calvary, we as His Body here on earth are enforcing by proclaiming His victory in the earthly realm.

In the prayer world, many sense that something has shifted in the heavenlies. Other prophetic intercessors have sensed this also.  Many believe we are living in a different day, and we are seeing the Lord at work in a significant way. Sometimes things get worse before they get better, and we are seeing this in the war with Iran, but I believe the Lord is in the process of putting things the right way up – things that have been upside down.

Even in the Covid time when we all walked through those difficult days, the Lord showed me that a better day was coming. And then I envisaged that after people had seen the goodness of God as the Lord had shown me, and still rebelled against Him, then the judgments of God would fall. It is now time to bring in the harvest while we have this window of opportunity.

Recently, I was very encouraged when the Lord gave me a clear image. The image was of a wooden cross, facing south-east. The cross was rising out of the ground.  In the vision, the Australian flag was wrapped around the bottom of the cross in circular fashion.  This AI image is quite close to what I saw:

Aus flag cross

From this image that the Lord showed me, I believe He was saying that the Gospel is rising in Australia.

May Yeshua, our Liberator, also be the portion for Australia so that our Beloved Country, with her people, would truly enjoy the freedom of sons and daughters in the Father’s family.
