Mark Houck Wins Million-Dollar Settlement After Acquittal Over Biden-Era FBI Raid
A pro-life father raided by the FBI, acquitted by a jury, and vindicated by a $1 million settlement — Mark Houck’s fight exposes the political weaponisation of federal law enforcement.
In September 2022, the Biden administration unleashed hell on a family of eight as part of Biden’s war on pro-life volunteers.
Skip forward to 9 April 2026. That same family just got handed a settlement worth over one million dollars.
FBI Raids Family Home in Dawn Ambush
Mark Houck’s house was surrounded by 15 cars, then raided by a SWAT-like FBI team at 7:05 am on 23 September 2022.
Recalling the event at the time, a terrified Ryan-Marie Houck, Mark’s wife and homeschooling mum, said that around 20 agents stormed the house.
They also refused to show a warrant. (See here and here.)
Ryan-Marie was told, “They were going to take her husband, whether they had one or not.”
Agents only complied after Marie accused them of kidnapping Mark.
Denying a heavy-handed show of force, the FBI dismissed recounts as misleading.
The assertions disregarded firsthand testimonies from the family and a timeline of events documented by legal representatives.
Critics also alleged that the FBI’s assault – a so-called “standard operating procedure” arrest of Mark Houck – was tied to Biden Department of Justice boss Merrick Garland.
This political element was consistent with Joe Biden’s weaponisation of the Department of Justice and law enforcement against pro-life organisations throughout his presidency.
One such initiative perfectly illustrating the vile nature of that weaponisation was Biden’s “Task Force for Reproductive Health”.
Now dismantled, thanks to the Trump administration’s clarity on cancel culture issues, the Abortion Police task force’s job was to wage war on the “reproductive health crisis.”
This was a crisis, the Biden administration argued, triggered by the Supreme Court giving the pro-life boot to Roe v Wade.
Houck Acquitted After Refusing to Take a Deal
Biden’s pro-abort-police-force was conceived in July 2022, three months before the FBI raided the Houck home.
While the task force was part of damage control for a massive political defeat for the Democrats, its activation, as I said at the time, was about protecting public opinion, not public health.
Hence, the Woke White House’s war on pro-lifers, like Mark Houck.
Houck was arrested for allegedly pushing over Bruce Love, a (then) 72-year-old male abortion escort activist, in two separate incidents.
The pro-life dad was later charged with breaching the Clinton-era abortion protection zone law, called the FACE Act.
Four months later, Houck was acquitted. (See here)
Video evidence showed Houck defending his son against Love, who had charged at the father and son on a public footpath.
Love refused requests from Houck to stop verbally attacking the 12-year-old, which led to Love being pushed away from the frightened child.
The abortionist then fell backwards onto the pavement.
Unpacking some of the settlement’s details, 40 Days for Life CEO Shawn Carney said in a press release that Houck’s acquittal took them from defence to offence.
Carney called the win a “huge legal victory for free speech,” adding that what the Houcks went through was absolutely ridiculous.
A volunteer with 40 Days for Life for over 15 years, Houck, was “facing 11 years in prison because he didn’t take a deal.”
FACE Act Prosecutors Fired as Trump DOJ Reverses Course
Given that 98% of DOJ-prosecuted cases end in convictions, Carney indicated that the settlement made their initial victories sweeter.
Addressing the precedent, he added that this was also a “huge victory for all Americans who want our right to speak our minds peacefully, in a law-abiding way, without fear of our own government.”
That victory may get even sweeter.
CBS News reported that “at least four prosecutors” involved in the political persecution of pro-lifers had been fired.
A spokesman told CBS that “the DOJ had terminated the employment of personnel responsible for weaponising the FACE Act who still remained at the department.”
The firing of FACE Act prosecutors “occurred at about the same time a report on the FACE Act and the Biden Justice Department was being finalised.”
As reported by the Associated Press in January 2025, the report was part of the freshly elected Trump administration’s immediate reversal of the DOJ’s weaponisation of law enforcement.
