Trump Administration Resists the Leftist War Against Christianity
The Trump administration’s Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias has released its 2026 report, documenting years of federal discrimination against Christians and outlining steps toward restoration.
Entire books can be written documenting the massive differences between the Democrats and the Republicans; the religious right and the secular left; and the Biden administration and the Trump administration. When it comes to religious freedom and preserving America’s Christian heritage, the two sides could not be further apart.
Indeed, two government reports released by the Trump team clearly highlight all this. In February 2025, President Trump signed Executive Order 14202, which established the Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias. It is made up of 17 different government agencies and departments, including the Department of Justice. It was established to end the anti-Christian weaponisation of government and unlawful conduct targeting Christians.
A Pattern of Discrimination: What the Reports Reveal
Their first report came out in June of last year. It was 49 pages in length, and it contained plenty of documentation on this anti-Christian bigotry. The opening paragraphs of the Executive Summary said this:
“Christianity, which has rendered all men equal before God, will not be loath to see all citizens equal before the law.” So wrote Alexis de Tocqueville in the Nineteenth Century, reflecting on the profound role of Christianity in shaping America’s democracy. History has only deepened his insight. From the birth of our Republic to the great struggles for civil rights, Christianity has not only inspired individuals but transformed the nation. Nowhere was this clearer than in the leadership of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., who preached that faith compels good citizenship and justice, saying “[i]f one is truly devoted to the religion of Jesus, [that person] will seek to rid the earth of social evils. The gospel is social as well as personal.”
Yet, in recent years, this legacy has been undermined. The political, social, and humanitarian contributions of Christians have been devalued, their beliefs marginalized, and their communities unlawfully targeted by their own government. A review of federal departments and agencies revealed a consistent and systematic pattern of discrimination against Christians during the Biden Administration. Where there should have been “equal justice under law” there was unequal treatment – policies and practices that singled out Christian people, Christian houses of worship, and Christian convictions for disfavored treatment

The 2026 report has just appeared. It is 200 pages long and contains so much more documentation of this ongoing anti-Christian crusade. Part of the Executive Summary of this newest report says this:
Our Nation’s origin and system of government bear the imprint of a Christian worldview and ethic, even as its laws protect religious pluralism. Christian beliefs, in conjunction with contemporary political thought and economic realities, influenced colonial settlers in their decision to overthrow tyranny and pursue independence. After the Revolutionary War, Christians then informed the structure and contents of the United States Constitution, its amendments, and contemporaneous state constitutions.
But, when Christian beliefs about morality and human nature conflicted with the Biden Administration’s views, religious rights often suffered. The Biden Administration generally tolerated religious beliefs that were privately held but zealously pursued actions to limit Christians’ ability to act in accordance with their faith. This affected matters of deep personal importance to nearly every American: life, family, marriage, and self-identity.
Education, Parental Rights, and the Assault on Christian Values
As US Secretary of Education, Linda McMahon, said:
Every American deserves equal treatment under the law, but we continue to discover the magnitude of the Biden Administration’s gross iniquities and flagrant violations of religious liberty—particularly targeting Christians. Where the Biden Administration abused its authority by unfairly punishing Christian families and schools, the Trump Administration has taken historic steps to reaffirm the rights of parents, expand school choice so that more families can access education aligned with their values, and ensure the fair treatment of every student.
The US Department of Education (ED) said this in part about the report in its press release:
The report touches on a broad array of federal policies and programs where Anti-Christian bias was apparent, including excessive fines levied against Christian universities, intrusions by men into girls’ sports and locker rooms, vaccine mandates, and the exclusion of Christians from public programs, among many others. The Task Force also highlights related findings at the state and local level and in the private sector. Among the Task Force’s many alarming findings, ED discovered:
– Under the Biden Administration’s failed leadership, ED focused its enforcement actions unfairly against Christian universities, levying enormous fines on institutions including Grand Canyon University and Liberty University. These fines dwarfed the penalties for violations by non-religious institutions for more egregious infractions.
– When Christian parents expressed concern about sexually explicit and grossly inappropriate content in books at their children’s schools, the Biden Administration rejected parents’ concerns and created a “Book Ban Coordinator” at ED who warned school districts that removing such books would “violate civil rights laws” and “create a hostile environment for students.”
– The Biden Administration allowed school districts to promote ideological materials about “gender identity” to young students that fundamentally conflict with Christian tenets. They allowed Federally funded schools to facilitate “gender transitions” without disclosing education records to children’s parents, and they promoted ideological materials about “gender identity” to young students without giving parents the option to opt-out—violating parental rights laws and impeding families’ religious exercise.
– The Biden Administration illegally weaponized Title IX to allow males into female sports and intimate facilities, and went as far as to punish districts that refused to do so. This had a particular impact on sports teams at Christian schools, where they forfeited competitions. In one instance, the leader of an athletic governing body accused a Christian school of engaging in “blatant discrimination under the guise of religious freedom.”
The Trump Administration Fights Back
The report does not just look at the ongoing assault on Christianity in America, but also lists a number of initiatives and achievements under the Trump administration:
While this report details the egregious actions of the Biden Administration against Christians, it also demonstrates how the Trump Administration is restoring the rights of Christians—and all Americans—to practice their faith without fear of government punishment. For example:
– The Trump Administration reaffirmed parental rights under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), which gives parents the right to access their children’s education records, including materials concerning a child’s so-called “gender transition,” and initiated several investigations into educational entities which allegedly conceal records relating to students’ “transgender identity” from those students’ parents.
– The Trump Administration restored parental rights in the classroom by eliminating the “Book Ban Coordinator” position. ED also rightfully returned this issue to the states, stating that “school districts, in consultation with parents and community stakeholders, have established commonsense processes by which to evaluate and remove age-inappropriate materials.”
– The Trump Administration has restored Title IX to its true meaning and purpose by upholding sex-separated athletics and intimate facilities.
ED is committed to religious liberty for all and will continue to support President Trump’s mandate to eradicate anti-Christian bias throughout the federal government.
A small part of the report’s Conclusion can also be shared here:
As the United States approaches the celebration of America 250, the Task Force encourages Americans to reflect on where we have come as a nation and where we are going. In 1776, the American Colonies declared their independence from British tyranny because of the simple but profound truth—that all men are created equal and endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights.
Annually throughout the Revolutionary War, the Continental Congress proclaimed days of prayer, fasting, and thanksgiving, including designating May 17, 1776, as a “day of Humiliation, Fasting and Prayer” throughout the colonies. President George Washington issued the first presidential proclamation designating November 26, 1789, as “a day of public thanksgiving and prayer.”
Our Nation’s forefathers recognized that our most essential rights are given to us by God and are not bestowed by civil government. By design, the Constitution and federal law limit the government’s reach into speech and religion to protect those inalienable rights from the vicissitudes of politics and changing times. Americans have been promised freedom of religion, not just in the privacy of their homes and four walls of their churches, but to daily walk in accordance with their religious teachings and conscience in the public square.

Thank God that Christians have such an advocate and helper in the current White House. The freedom to worship and the free flow of the Gospel are certainly aided by the promotion of religious liberty, and this administration is doing so much to make that even more possible.
