Stone the Crows! The Left’s Race Obsession Goes Cuckoo
Context is the first casualty in the Left’s obsession with race.
People watching TV coverage of the AFL elimination final between the Adelaide Crows and the Western Bulldogs on Saturday night were horrified when this fan popped up on screen.
It’s a woman performing blackface, they screamed.
She’s mocking Aboriginal footballers, they yelled.
Find her and kick her out of the stadium, they insisted.
Except, 59-year-old Colleen wasn’t performing blackface at all.
She’s a member of the Crows cheer squad, who came to the game dressed as a crow…

Crow Causes Woke Meltdown
Nooooo, not as Jim Crow. Don’t be silly.
She was dressed as an Adelaide Crow… complete with a hat for the crow’s head featuring a beak.
She told journalists…
“I just thought it would be more realistic (to have black paint on her skin), that’s why I’ve got black gloves as well.”
Well stone the crows!
What’s funny is that when all of this was pointed out, the murder of crows who’d been so quick to take offence replied on social media to the effect…
‘Oh, she was dressed as a crow. I didn’t think of that.’
And isn’t that the tragedy?
That when people think of a crows supporter dressed as a crow at a crows game… they’ve been so trained to think of race, it never occurs to them that she’s obviously a crow.
And so they all go cuckoo.

Why Seeing Racism Everywhere Is Dangerous
Here’s what I hate about the Left’s obsession with race.
When you teach people to interpret the world through race, people eventually stop seeing people.
And they stop seeing context.
They just see skin colour, and then reach for the nearest pitch fork.
Once you’ve been trained to look for racism everywhere, even a crow becomes a hate crime.
Which is quite an achievement. Especially at a Crows game.
