While We Were Sleeping – Health
This is my eleventh in the series, highlighting key aspects from each chapter of my new book, While We Were Sleeping: A Wake-up Call For All Christians (2025). (Check out my YouTube channel, where I am posting a reflection on each chapter, to complement this post.)

Dr My Le Trinh’s story is tragic. She was a true immigrant success story, until her hard-won new life in Australia fell apart during the pandemic. After 27 years of practising as a GP, Trinh fell afoul of the medical regulator’s strict rules around Covid treatment, leading to the suspension of her medical registration.
Extracts from My Le’s story:
When Covid came, I knew early on, something serious was going on when they locked down Wuhan, China. I just thought something really big was going to happen. I spent a lot of time researching, as I knew the media was lying.
The year before, I was following Donald Trump’s election campaign in 2019. I knew about the media lying then. I knew about the corruption in governments in the US. I knew that a lot of things were done to steal the election from Trump in 2020.
I followed America, as the virus hit them first. By May 2021, I knew that Ivermectin worked, that it was a highly effective medication. I knew that the virus could be treated, and no one need die. I knew what I needed to do, in the middle of a pandemic, as a doctor, I knew what I was called to do and that was to treat the sick.
However, I did know it was controversial and was prepared to deal with the consequences. It was my moral duty; I couldn’t not tell people that there was a treatment available. I could not deny people a treatment that was safe and effective. Our moral duty is to do good for others. I guess some of us don’t have the courage though. For me, if I go out and save a life and lose my licence, I am happy. I am a doctor; I can’t allow people to die.
The authorities found out about what I was doing from a patient I was treating who sadly ended up in casualty for a different issue. There they found out about me as they knew that this patient had had Ivermectin from me.
I appealed my suspension which was under emergency powers. To do this, you had to deem that the person is a danger to the public. So evidently, I am deemed to be a danger to the public!
My challenge was meant to go to the tribunal; however, two weeks before the date set for the hearing, the judgment of Dr Pridgen’s case was released. This was very important, as it states that the Medical Council does not have the power to suspend, and secondly, it states that the Medical Council must refer me to the tribunal for a proper hearing, and that the decision to suspend me was only an interim decision.
There is nothing I have done that is illegal, there is nothing I have done wrong. The Medical Council and the Health Care Complaints Commission in New South Wales (HCCC) have nothing against me. For them to pursue me is very cowardly, they should be ashamed of themselves. They have not just wronged me they have wronged the public and the healthcare profession. No one should have to put up with what I have put up with in the last three years.
Dr My Le Trinh is still suspended from practice as a GP, with proceedings ongoing regarding allegations of professional misconduct related to the use of Ivermectin.
My Le’s conflict with authority was not an isolated incident; tragically, many excellent doctors were pulled from the frontline of healthcare during the Covid era because they put their patients’ health before any compromise of their professionalism to governmentally approved protocols for treatment regimens. (cf. Julie Sladden; Rod Lampard; Rebekah Barnett)
Most Australians don’t know Dr My-Le Trinh. She’s a Sydney GP who has spent years fighting for medical freedom, patient choice, and transparency. Because she dared to speak out, she has been relentlessly targeted.
Her fight is not just about one doctor; it exposes how corruption and cover-ups are running through the very system meant to protect us.
In 2021, a prescription she wrote for Ivermectin was stolen from a chemist. That stolen document was later weaponised against her, triggering anonymous complaints and leading to her suspension. Instead of investigating how the script was unlawfully taken, regulators turned their full power on her.

My Wake-Up Call
This persecution of a good doctor for seeking to do the best for her patients was one of my wake-up calls.
I also devoured many books as I sought to grapple with the state of healthcare. Six authors radically shaped my thinking, waking me up as if being hit by the paddles of a defibrillator!
They were Engelbrecht’s (2021) Virus Mania; Kennedy’s (2021) The Real Anthony Fauci; Williams and Bailey’s (2022) Terrain Therapy; Basham’s (2024) Shepherds for Sale; the Baileys’ (2024) The Final Pandemic; and Dodsworth’s (2021) A State of Fear.
What If Viruses Don’t Exist!
If viruses don’t exist, then our so-called modern-day pandemics have been faked. Sounds like a conspiracy theory, right? But this is Robert F. Kennedy Jr’s view. Writing about Anthony Fauci’s global war on democracy and public health, he lists Fauci’s long list of contrived diseases that include smallpox, chickenpox, bird flu, Zika, hepatitis B, MERS, measles and Covid.
Further, the Baileys document the government-mandated slaughter of millions of animals to drive fear of the possibility of deadly diseases leaping from animals to humans. They list the 2003 Dutch Bird Flu ‘crisis’ resulting in 26 million chickens being euthanised in the Netherlands. Earlier, in the UK during the alleged 2001 foot-and-mouth ‘outbreak’, six million mostly healthy cows and sheep were incinerated, with the side effect of destroying untold livelihoods in rural communities.
If viruses don’t exist, what about the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Test for the so-called COVID-19 virus? This test was not designed to detect viruses. The inventor of the test, the late Dr Kery Mullis, had this to say about his PCR:
I don’t think you can misuse the PCR. The results, the interpretation of it, yes… With the PCR, if you do it well, you can find about anything in anybody… If you can amplify one single molecule up to something you can really measure, which PCR can do. There are very few molecules, that you don’t have at least one of, in your body. So that can be thought of as a misuse. PCR does not tell you if you are sick, and it does not tell you that the thing you have ended up with was really going to hurt you. (my emphasis)
For a more detailed consideration of the no-virus narrative, read my Chapter 11, or listen to Dr Sam Bailey’s latest video, High Court Showdown: Can India Prove Viruses Exist?
In February 2026, Dr Jitendra Banjara entered a petition to the high court in India, requesting evidence for both the existence of viruses and the Germ Theory of disease from the Union of India, the Department of Health and Welfare, the Director General, Indian Council of Medical Research, the National Institute of Virology, the Department of Health Research and the National Centre for Disease Control.
They were given four weeks to respond, but none of the respondents replied. This does not mean that the virus narrative is finished in India; there are far too many vested interests at play for that, but this story is evidence that the no-virus narrative is taking root.
What is the Bible’s Take on Health?
God said to the children of Israel during their exodus from Egypt: ‘You shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.’ (Exodus 23:25)
Why should we assume that God can’t restore health today?
Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. (Matthew 4:23)
It seems to me that our natural response to a health challenge in the West is to tap into the physical healthcare system, be they nutritional supplements, the medicine cabinet, or our general practitioner. This is the way of the world, and I don’t think God wants us to conform to the world (Romans 12:2).
In the last few years, I have been challenged to first ask God about what the cause of sickness might be, rather than how can I limit the symptoms. Next, I go to God in faith, and finally I go to healthcare providers if He says to do so. It’s turning our automatic response on its head. Let’s practice the late New Zealand Dr Ulric Williams’ principle, of the three-legged stool, spirit, mind, and body; all three in perfect harmony.
Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.’ (James 5:14-15)
The COVID-19 era had a profound impact on us all. I suspect we are all carrying some scar tissue from what happened to our loved ones and us. I don’t want to look back in anger but to look forward with eyes wide open.

Thank you Dr Jim..such an important article on Dr My Le and others
Solid article……..Thanks for exposing the these attempts to suppress truth.
Stephen and Ian, thanks for your comments. I have lived long enough to remember when doctors had the ‘choice’ whether they would be ‘bought’ by the pharmaceutical industry. Now it seems that ‘government regulators’ ‘prescribe’ what a doctor can prescribe!
Hi Jim, thank you for your article. It is distressing what has happened to Dr My Le Trinh because she upheld her oath, but there are others who have stood against the medical associations as you indicate and faced similar unfair consequences .
Your view of Germ Theory and Terrain Theory won’t be accepted by everyone but you do raise an important reminder about too readily seeking a medical fix rather than seeking first the Great Physician. Thanks for your work.
Stephen, thank you for your comment. As you can see, I am challenged by the contrasting theories, Germ and Terrain. For a closer look at this aspect of our healthcare system, check out my YouTube on Health – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0BBDVN13R8
