Kara Thomas
Kara Thomas is the Secretary of the Australian Medical Professionals Society, a society offering employment services and giving a voice to health practitioners across the country.
Prior to starting her role with AMPS, Kara specialised in perioperative nursing, undertaking postgraduate specialty education, and was a team leader in a busy tertiary operating theatre.
Kara has been a strong advocate for child protection reform for many years and her interest in the building of strong communities led her to complete a Masters of Community and International Development. She has a passion for research to seek evidence-based policy reform and has written multiple submissions to all levels of government and been published by the Centre for Independent Studies and The Spectator Australia.
